I've played 5 full games on emperor/epic/large/communitas maps, random civs in 4.5. I think that the AI is now well-balanced in all game phases, the CS fix is nice, the diplomacy changes are easier to manage, not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

I've noticed that often rival civs will get a tourism bonus vs my civ of "bonus from boredom within their civilization". How is this number determined? Should I try to get more boredom in my civ to help me get a tourism bonus vs other civs, even though it will hurt my happiness? Actually...

I know that subs recently had some changes (as in past couple years recently) made to their promotion tree line, is there an actual updated tree somewhere, or an explanation of exactly which promotions lead to what? I'm having trouble tracking it down.

I thought that 25% was a monopoly, but everything I see says 50%. Must be old timer's brain.

I've played a bunch of 4.2.7 games, and just ran into something I haven't seen before. I got the Corporations tech, I had a 33% monopoly on truffles and a 100% monopoly on gems, but I can't build twokay foods or Civilized Jewelers. Gems are banned in world Congress, truffles are not, neither...

There's a setting in the new game menu to disable that.

I've noticed something odd about CS changes from 3.10.14 to 4.2.7: In 3.10.14, CS would build defenses for themselves but never for captured cities. In 4.2.7, CS build defenses for captured cities, or if the city is conquered then liberated, but if never conquered/liberated, they just never...

I'm back to playing 3.10.14 for now. No City State defenses built and no naval attacks is a bad 1-2 punch.

I've been trying for weeks to make a strong Tradition game on Emperor, both in 4.xx and 3.10.14. The only one that I got to work was Korea in a 3.10.14 game, had 5 cities for early-mid game, took over Austria to get to 10, was competitive and probably on pace to win before I abandoned game...

I have no idea how to do that. However, I deleted all game files and reinstalled 3.10.14 and everything worked properly before returning to 4.2.7. Additionally, I have liberated 2 CS so far, and both of them began building defensive fortifications and claiming adjacent territory immediately...

Playing 4.2.7, city states still have no defenses and enemy civs still don't settle nearly as aggressively as they did in previous versions. What was the rationale for changing the ai settler aggressiveness so much? Did I miss a vote on that? It seems like a huge change. edit: ok, I decided...

Yes, planes work fine now.

Now I'm playing 4.2.4 and City States are stuck at ~ 20 defense. Every single city State is still at 20-23 defense while the rest of us have castles and rome has bastion forts for 40+ defense. makes CS easy targets. Wasn't doing this in 4.2.3.

Memory issue as in my computer needs more memory? I can buy some more ram easily.
