    I don't see anything better than fast workers in a 30 turn game, and also spi is really powerful. So Asoka seemed the obvious choiche, with gandhi you can gamble a fast GE for pentagon but it is hardly gamechanging... I would rather have him as opponent.

    I'm thinking a different strategy here, Oracle feudalism, Longbow rush north to get horses, then straight to guilds for knight stomp. Unfortunately i'm on vacation with no access to civ till 20th, so i doubt i will be able to test the strategy, maybe someone will elaborate though.

    Couple of failed attempt here with egypt. My goal is to get 2 ais down with war chariot and use land advantage to win lib and destroy with cuirassers, but facing walls and metal units does not help. I might try something else.

    I had a very good map with Ramesses, but my attack failed cause gandhi bribed two ais on me. That tells you i'm not really experienced with this high level. :/ War Chariots last 2 AIs max maybe with extremely good micro and pillaging you can add a third but i doubt it.

    WC can be built on t1 if you settle on horses. Fast workers are just huge on fast ESPECIALLY on conquest where chpping out units is everything. Other UU obsolete too fast or come too late to make a difference. I'm intrigued by self tech MC and bulb machinery with Sitting bull, not sure if it's...

    I think you value UU way too much, traits and/or fast workers will help you a lot more. Catafracts are awesome but waiting for knights i don't think it's competitive.

    I assume you are talking about PA. It might be easier but not competitive i think, as for being actually competitive in the boards just no. No vassals means much slower conquest. What unit/combo to beat the game? Elephants should do the trick initially but i dont think you can stop research...

    Nice game, i will give it a shot. Defenetly would not choose this combo though. I think suleiman of mali would be much better. Cha isn't really needed when you will have so many settled GG, also skirmishers will hold very well the choke so you could delay feudalism for a while and the mint...

    I've found this harder than it seems. Conquering is easy enough of course, but sustaining the expansion is not. Even maxing the opponents, the cities are often too far from each other to simply steam roll and live on pillaging and conquest gold. Need some sort of empire economy, Currency or COL...

    For you, what would be the most important technology in the game?

    I'm surprised nobody said the wheel. :) hooking up resources, trade routes and faster movement is easly the best you can hope for. I can rarely have the option of getting it through trades and is also the most expensive t1 tech. Having it from the start is huge
