    DG4 Game Options: Civ Traits

Expansionist and Religious sounds good. I wouldn't vote random since I wouldn't want a civ we've already played. If not, I'd vote commercial/expansionist. I'd love to go to something opposite to what has been played so far.

    DG4 Game Options: World Size?

Medium. A smaller map is easier to maintain and keep in good order.

That is true. I wondered how demand was for this feature. Anyone else see this problem?

Some comments after playing a bit

I'll bet. Having tried this myself by modding up a plain Civ3 game this made the game feel almost unfamilliar at times. I liked the slower map discovery of the game and how exploring was made more valuable. Knowing the entire sea before I built my first naval unit always seemed ironic. I...

    The Myst Thread

I did have a chance to play the demo. I was rather impressed with the feeling of realism even with the new 3rd player view (albeit you can change it to first person if you want). Despite how much I enjoyed the previous Myst games, I unfortunately can't play this one - 1st person games with...

I'm going to take that screenshot as a big compliment from the Conquests team. Thanks, LKendter.

A suggestions to improve sceintific leaders

That isn't a bad idea. That may assume the point of including the Sci Leaders is to reward doing your own research. However, by rewarding any civ that self discovers, even if it is by a lesser chance than being the first, I think the purpose of the SLs is still held intact. You can still be a...

    Utility: MapStat

This seems suprising to me. I'd assume that an OS upgrade shouldn't break an older program. Are there ave any Java updates for 10.3 that are available and need to be installed? Some nice ideas in here. However, it does go beyond reading tile information, which was what Mapstat was...

    Utility: MapStat

The Java version was always simple because it was the extent of my Java skills. Lovro's program is much smoother, does much more, and looks a lot better. In the windows version, there is also population numbers to help figure the domination calculation. Also, the GUI is streamlined since...

Sure, here's the source for v2.0 Java. The names are statically read, as you know. I hope it still at least compiles, if not works. But I really haven't checked it for a long time. You're free to do with it what you wish. Other than to sell it on the market ;)

IIRC, the windows version did not change from 1.21 to 1.29 since there were no .sav file changes. Let me know if it breaks and I will look into it.
