    Demand option in diplomacy screen

    Interesting point that last one by moystyrfurmer, didn't think that worked! I agree Demand rarely works. If diplo is a 2 way process it seems unfairly balanced at the moment- but then again it's a very complex system to try and emulate.

    Is the AI massively overvaluing Open Borders...

    I generally try and avoid open Borders with AI - often seem to DoW me when they see my typically weak early game military....aka my warrior :-)

    I've not noticed a diplo bonus either- maybe you have to trade over a long period. Re the original thread- I agree some kind of extra incentive for open Borders would be good. I also agree the maritime aspect is a little bland in this civ- the extra 1+ gold for a friendly city connected by sea...

    Is the seaport lacking now?

    I agree to the original post- it does seems underpowered. I only ever build harbours if the city if approx 4-5 spaces from my existing road network. And build seaports even less :-)
