I honestly don't even know how you guys are playing this right now, I gave it a shot for a few hours on Friday and just couldn't, wayyyyyy too many game-spoiling bugs for me. Can't even get more than 3 rival...

I gladly support devs whom put out my favourite game franchises, getting bent out of shape over giving them a relative pittance here and there just seems so incredibly miserly and ridiculous to me.
The AI doesn't know how to play 1UPT.
Until they can program an AI that knows what the it's doing with 1UPT to a somewhat acceptable degree, they need to go back to MUPT.
For an overwhelmingly single-player game, an AI that is utterly incompetent with 1UPT is game-breaking when the devs...

Haven't played this game for like 3 weeks now, which is incredible considering how much I was looking forward to it pre-release. Considering how my PC is basically a Civ Machine, my PS4 has been getting a lot more play than I had thought it...
I'm very excited about the list of balance/AI/UI improvements listed. This patch is looking to be waaaaaaay more ambitious than I expected, thankfully.
My usual build order (I take the free worker 99% of the time) is OER, Explorer, Explorer, Explorer.
Explorers are just stupid good in the early game. And if you can pop an affinity upgrade and get them either supremacy 1/purity 1 early on (or even BOTH as has happened in a few of my games)...
