    starting resources

    I play k mod usually on Prince, standard, epic, tropical, medium sea level, and hemispheres. Lately I've noticed that my capital often only spawns with 2 or 3 resources instead of the normal 4. Is this an intended change, or accidental?

    @MeInTeam and Rah, try the kmod, he fixed a lot of those things, particularly the queued orders get executed at end of the turn

    The orange fist.... I like that I don't have to inspect each AI every turn. I've had some declare for no apparent reason that I can find, I know there is a reason, I just don't always see it in time.

    Sounds to me like its a firewall issue, for the direct ip bit anyway. You may have to forward the ports in the router.

    I don't know about the steam side of things, but for making it work I would suggest everyone installs and uses the k-mod as it virtually eliminates out of sync errors, then play via direct IP connection. One player, probably you, as the host and everyone else connects to that computer's IP...
