Does the mod name (or anything else) include special characters?

    Mod Tools Available Now!

As long as it's still planned, I'm not impatient. I'm going to have some fun playing around with the lua when I've got some free time.

So no C++ access through here, eh? Is that coming?

[IMPROVEMENT] Anti Aliasing-Not Selectable for Me

It doesn't appear to be selectable in DX 9 at all. It does work if you set it outside the game, but it's a bit annoying to have to do that.

    AppHangB1 - hanging game

No issues in DX 9 either. It happens at least once every 5-10 minutes in DX 11.

    AppHangB1 - hanging game

I've got the same issue, also with an 640 MB 8800 GTS (and an X-Fi, though I'm guessing that's not relevant). The game stops rendering new frames, but the audio still acts as though the game is running when you click on things or zoom around.

    My first impressions: Not good

This is what I'm seeing in DX 11/10, on High with an (overclocked) 8800 GTS: http://i51.tinypic.com/vqi984.jpg It just doesn't look as nice as the screenshots have made it out to be. Texture resolution is a bit lower. Could just be me, though.

    cd or d/ling?

Yes, that's right. Once the game is on your account, all you need to do to install it in the future is to log into your account and choose it from the list.

    Civ 5 and Difficulty. Artificial?

This, plus they intentionally make less-optimal choices at lower difficulty levels, as Zhahz said.

    Official System Requirements

The minimum is a Core i3 IGP; the 8600M GT will outperform that. If anyone wants to be safe, doing the demo first is always a good idea.

    Official System Requirements

You're past minimum, but not recommended. It should be fine.

    Will Civ 5 have a 64-bit client?

When you link a 32-bit executable you can flip a header to mark it as "large address aware", which tells (64-bit) Windows to go ahead and give it a full 4GB address space instead of limiting it to the 2GB that 32-bit programs usually get. You can do that after the fact too, like with one of...

    Realistic Approach Institute

There's a recent study at http://www.agu.org/pubs/crossref/2007/2006JD008235.shtml My school apparently doesn't subscribe to the journal, but Wikipedia reports that they give a -7C to -8C global cooling "for a few years", and after 10 years the cooling is still at -4C (compared to -5C for the...

    Realistic Approach Institute

I'd rather those elements be under some player control. Rather than having purely random events, having them be influenced by the player's actions would be nice. Rather than those events causing great change of themselves, have them create a scenario that the player must solve in order to steer...
