The "All or Nothing" nature of Spain.

Thanks to "restart", the problem with situational civs like spain, marocco or netherlands is not a problem anymore. Even though it may take a few restarts.

What difficulty do you prefer to play on?

Immortal. Emperor is too easy for me, and deity is also quite easy to win but the AI gets so phat bonuses and cheats its not even funny.

Is the AI really terrible on water maps?

Even though the AI might suck at naval warfare and invasions across water, i think it has improved tremendously since Civ 5 vanilla. But still it lacks aggressiveness at sea. I have often wondered why the AI dont just put all of its hundreds of free units into the sea and just move them all...

... and still Civ4 is superior. I'm sad.

Civ 5 owns Civ 4 since Brave new world expansion. But the 1 upt does make the me dread late game, domination victory. It is really tedious to move 50+ units around and it often makes me quit because its so damn boring. Even though 1 upt makes the battles much more interesting and tactically...

So how did you get into Civilization?

    Civ 2 got me hooked.

    What's a decent map type?

i like map with bottleneck landmass. Helps you against those early ai attacks where the ai has magically produced 20 units while you are working on your second one. Fractal is often good then. Small continents are also a favourite.

What do you think about Anti - Mounted upgrade path?

AT guns sucks and i have never had any use for them. And i cant see the logic in pikemen being upgraded to a mounted unit. Just stupid.

    sheep OP??

I think sheep should provide happiness, for all of those lonely shepherds out there far away from a womans embrace:)

Do you cheat when you get beat to a wonder or city site?

Yeah sometimes i do when they are snatching too many of my wonders one turn ahead of me. For example when you have lots of sea resources and get colossus snatched from you, or when you have a lot of quarries and the mausoleum is joinked. But on the other hand, most wonders are not that big of a...

    A Use for Spies!

In my immortal games there are lots of coups against my allied city states so i use my spies there. Early on i use spies to steal techs but when it starts to take too many turns to steal techs i move on to city states. That civs are planning attacks on me all the time is nothing i need spies to...

    Ragequit ratio

I quit more games than i finish, most of the time for two reasons: either its clear that i will win and there is no point to continue, or a runaway civ appears and all the other civs are extra stupid and just let the runaway civ defeat them and that makes me so tired. Sure you could win those...

My First War Victory - Is it normal to feel this bad?

I would wish that the game was designed so you actually did care a bit more about your decisions and their consequenses, moral etc. But you just see a city hex with a number on it that gets halved from 20 to 10 after you have nuked it, and a bit of fallout and pillaged terrain that you can clean...

What do you miss about/from previous CIV games?

I always believed, based on the evolution of the civ games and game trends in general, that civ 5 would give you more options/features to personalize and customize your own civ. Different leaderheads to choose from for every civ, changing the name of the civ and your leader, units with voices of...
