Great :) another civ 4 expansion! I haven't played of heard of colonization before, anyone care to explain whats special about the game or different?

Just tried the map, its pretty good, the resources are well spaced :) But i also get a slight lag problem... the loading time is about double that of the loading time for a huge map, at medival age too. I think the map is just slightly too big. Also china and asia looks great, but Euro does...

Hi, the map is great! very realistic~ but the starting locations are a bit weird. was playing as Chinese and started at the western edge with all hills and trees, isolated by mountains, also french and incas were 6 tiles away, with similar landscapes :/

agree with poster about supply and tactics :P Civ4 fighting tactics seem to be mostly built on terrain :/

agreed. The cultural border system have to be reworked! Just try taking over an enemy city located near other nation's big cities. Once, I culture bombed and cranked my cultural bar up to 30% and yep, like doc, nothing happened. The 1square starvation tactic is really badly designed and defies...

Wow, this is a long argument~ But seriously, Mao was a terrible leader, the only thing we can honor him for is prob for pushing the japanese back. Good military leader, horrible, and brutal peace time leader. Just think about the red guards idea... children taught to betray and beat up...

agreed~ there seem to be many units missing from civ 4 compared to the last civs :/ waiting for a mod to bring them back, haha still a fun game though ^^

Anyone know the availiability in Vanouver? Futureshop/bestbuy have it on sale for 49.99 for 26th only, but on their site it says the game is in stores on the 27th. weird disrepency

Well, if the have mao ze dong in the game, they might as well have stalin or hitler since they are on similar grounds. Personally I think Sun yat sen should have been included for chinese ;)
