    Polynesia Runaway

AI seldom opens Rationalism and therefore the Porcelain Tower is usually available for a long time. Polynesia is more likely to open Rationalism though and then can snowball like every other civ. Usually King Goku just tends to be a forward settling idiot who gets wiped out for being a forward...

    Question about CS UU gifts

Sorry, but everything you said relating to gifted units is wrong. The units gifted are based on your tech progression, not on the CS techs progression. Neither do they require a strategic resource of the appropiate type, nor do you need to have one to get a unit with a strat res requirement...

    Question about CS UU gifts

CS will gift you units that require strategic resources even if you have non of the type required or run a strategic resources deficit already.

    Bombardement order

The damage stays the same, against cities and units. Additional note: Terrainpromotions do not affect city bombardment damage.

    Bombardement order

Just checked with IGE, bombardment damage is not influenced by the healthpoints of the target. Can post proof if wanted.

Corruption, City Maintenance, Global Happiness : WHY ?

The restriction in CiV is so extensive because up to CIV the dominant strategy was to spam cities. Lots of them and all over the place. Heck, even in base CiV ICS was effective if you overcame the initial setbacks, all those cities produced an insane amount of everything as soon as they got...

    Never get to the nukes

Tommy Nt, but he doesn't narrate and his videos lag. However the amount of cheese he pulls of, oh my god. He has an incredible understanding of the inner mechanics of the game and literraly breaks it apart at the seams. Light Cleric does very good Let's Plays and narrates his stuff in an...

Golden Ages and how they stack question

They do add GA points for kills, even during a GA.

My First War Victory - Is it normal to feel this bad?

Feeling bad for estabhlishing my rightful world dominance? Nah. Sometimes I pity the AI for their playstile, but at the end of the day I play computer games to do stuff I can't or won't do irl, warmongering an' pillaging an' burning down their cities an' nuking are part of the experience for...

    Returning Captured Cities. Warmonger Penalty?

They'll stay angry. Only liberation gives a global decrease in warmonger score, capturing and gifting back only gives you a positive diplo modifier with the civ you gift the city to. IIRC it doesn't even decrease your warmonger score at all.

Things you only just now realized

Creating a beaker overflow of 255.000 by burning GS will break the game and set your current accumulated science beakers to the negative value of -255.000. So it is a hex value with only 256 possibilities, from zero to 255, right? (I have no clue about programming)

I don't understand why I have not won

They most likely forgot to change the Civilopedia entry after BNW was released. In Vanilla and GnK you only had to be the last player with his original capital, in BNW you need to control ALL original capitals now.

Marathon game pace concerns / Modding?

Btw, be prepared for a tougher challange when playing Expanded Eras. The difficulty goes up a notch, due to the AI working on faster speeds and everything is fast except science in this mod.

    Your Latest Game

Currently tinkering around with a modded game on King difficulty with Washington. Map is Pangea, large, only 8 civs, 20 CS. The biggest change is the "expanded eras" mod, which increases tech beaker requirements by 300% (= marathon speed) whilst most other variables are set to standart or even...
