My statement was simply to acknowledge that the system is wonky no matter how you slice it, and if the community feels like we've hit a wall, best to go back to basics.
I mean, I'm sad to see my efforts at novelty go, but the reality is that the tools we have (and the UI) to work with for spies in CiV is just...not great. Its ultimately just a system that is either too complex and important or too bland and too unimportant. Hard to find happiness in the reeds...

Seriously thought to make all that I just used an SQL editor with all the columns from the database. and then exported the code. I forget which one but it was pretty intuitive.
I promise I didn’t intentionally shirk the espionage system after my last major rewrite. I like the proposals I’ve read here, they’re largely in line with my vision for the espionage system rework. I don’t think great work theft should be removed though, as culture victory definitely needs more...
We’ve had various and sundry versions over the years with people claiming fixed or successful MP sessions. Ultimately though they were never consistent enough to be called “stable” MP experiences so we stopped doing them.
Does discord have a storage solution? Or another service? I guess GitHub could but it’s a bit trickier. My thought on this is that those of us blessed with fatter bandwidth pipes could work to keep a working zip file repository of the most common mod mods with easy access to devs for this purpose.
