Playing on Emperor now. King seemed too easy. In my Emperor game I was pleasantly surprised to see that the AI wars much more frequently and there are 3 other Civs I am racing for top score. It looks like I will still win via Science without issue, but Emperor looks to be a good level without...
Doesn’t rise and fall already do this? In my most recent game I had to reconquer Arabian cities over and over! They were going into rebellion faster than I could get governors established. Still a bit of a R&F newbie so maybe I was doing things wrong.
Less so historical immersion than some semblance of reality. If I wanted a Sci Fi game I would play something else is all. Not the end of the world, I am sure there will be mods that will help me play in a GDR free world.
Someone mentioned a mod that will remove the future era units - sign me up. There are other games to satisfy the Sci Fi fans, Civ should stay in its lane.
Yeah I remember back when I played Civ3 I always wanted to mod it so that the tech tree would stop in the renaissance age (i.e. whenever you have Galleons and Frigates). I think my reason for that was just that the tech tree seemed to move too fast.
I sure wish they would! I stumbled on that game when I was young and when I saw Civilization 2 I actually thought that was the sequel..... well safe to say things spiraled down the Civilization wormhole ever since.
What exactly is Rhyes and Fall? Anyone able to give a quick synopsis of its appeal? Typically don't play mods because its hard for me to learn a whole new game with limited time to play at all.
Personally, I always prefer more civs - adds to the flavor. Of course, I hold off on buying any DLC until it is deeply discounted, so I don't think Firaxis cares what I think :mischief:
That sounds encouraging. The most I have seen to this point was Peter taking the Chinese capital away. (this was Australia patch, have yet to play the latest patch)
