i believe that the mod has been abandoned a few month ago. when i last checked masterofmana.com, when it was still active, the last post was 6 month old, so i guess were not getting anything new for MoM, sadly.

oh, sorry, no im on win7x64 and im working in the IT buisiness, so i can rule out any file/folder placement issues, they are where they belong ^^ friendly territory u say, ok that might be my bad then :) had one explorer sitting somewhere, waiting for the tech to finish! he wasnt in friendly...

nice update! still unable to select the maps, but with a random maps everything works fine. One more question tho: none of my units, with the exception of heros, may embark! and it seems that no units are able to enter ocean (except the caravel), even with everything researched! are those...

yes, i do use the standard install path: user\documents\my games ... u know what i mean ^^ still, for some mods i´ve tried i get the invalid map file thingy, but not for all modded maps, which in turn brought me to the idea of eventual differing version numbers at the time of the map creation...

Hi all! just returned to civ from some time off and found this very nice mod,but ... i do get the strange 'invalid map file' error and i cant even select the maps in the advanced setup as they are all reded out ... couldnt really find any enlightening solutions on the forums, so i wanted to ask...

oh, i have read several times here, that users with the steam version have trouble with mods ... have you checked for the BtS 3.19 patch? you might have to download that from somewhere and istall it manually, as the autoupdate sometimes tricks you! aditionally, it might be the problem, that Civ4...

might be a problem with your UAC settings when running Win7/Vista. I assume you have installed the game in its default location, so that might prevent the mod from installing right as PROGRAMS folder is protected by the OS! I, for my part, install all games to a costom made folder, like say...

where did you get the info of a new version of this mod? I heard ax3 say 'i will not do this again for Civ5 and this one is done too' somewhere in this thread ... so please point me to where you got something about someone working on this, thanks!!!

So, anyone still on this? i´d like to see this a bit more developed :) This mod gives me a CTD at random points in the game, which sadly gives a windowsexception and no Civ specific error code ... any ideas here? Thanks for y<our input and effort to finish this ^^ regards HahnHolio

to my experience, the crash will most likely not be related to the 'error in UnitBuilt' message, as i get that message nearly every turn in late games ... and my games dont crash. But the log file might help a ton so, if you still need help, go and post that file here, so we can look over it ...

i usually use summons to kill off the barbcamps, but i rarely pillage them, coz i wait for the respawns to lvlup my newest troops ... works quite well^^
