Same here, bought a new machine a few months ago, and also have lag in the late turns. I play with animations off I do see lots changing and moving tho while "Please wait..." waiting for the next turn. It is not that it is freezing, but CS do something, AI is doing things,...basically I don't...

I think it shows up as a minus resource on top -x but your units stays and you can't build new ones until you reach 1 again. hopefully someone else confirms only had it happen to me ones with iron, when it was pillaged and resource was not available anymore but my units were not vaporised.

What happens if you let it pre build till 2 turns left, wait 9 turns and do another turn so it reaches 1 turn left. Will it start back to 10 turns without losing any hammers? quote from another thread are wonders also under the 50turns limit as buildings are? and Mesix trick looks...

I don't have much time either to play the game, but the few hours I did since last summer, it was very enjoyable and $/hour is nothing. I never played Civ 4 tho, I date back from Civ1 and 2 and only started playing games again after a break of 8 year or so. yes, buy it, you can save and play...

The main reason that I don't play MP is because I'd have to quite now and then to feed a baby, working, ... I never see a way to have 2-4hours time to do MP. I hate it myself when people quite in the middle of the game, so rather don't do it to someone else either. I normally love MP tho...
