If you manage to get someone to spread this belief to you when playing as Kongo, it increases your relic faith by far more than the triple it claims. A palace full of 5 relics results in 1452 faith per turn. Without the belief it is the expected 20 for 5 relics with 4 faith.

It's almost impossible to say if someone's experiencing a bug or if it's just a misunderstanding if you don't post screenshots, a save or a video of the problem in question.
It's sometimes useful to convert a city of yours if the enemy religion has one or more faith buildings to buy. If you convert cities that are deep within your religious pressure zone, you'll be able to quickly buy the faith building(s) and then let it convert back to your own religion.

It wouldn't show the city in the list if you already had someone in there, did you perhaps forgot a spy inside the city?
A save or at least a screenshot would make it easier to figure out.
It depends a lot on what the overall land looks like. If the only production you see are two hills, it is often smarter to purposely not settle on top of them, to squeeze more overall production, as counter intuitive as that may sound. On the other hand, if you have enough production available...
Pretty much all the Order tenets are useful for every vc, other than the tourism tenets for non culture victories. Or would you not take the free scientist and engineer in tier 3 for every VC, or the 50% extra food and production from trade routes?
I don't think Tradition vs Liberty is that much of a problem. I find it's more the other stuff related to Wide vs Tall that annoy me.
