I have the same problem, and I am going for option one. but from what I am reading, the boot camp version running windows 7 on 64bit gets more out the game than the native MAC version, which I can believe. My old PC handles the game far superior than my brand spanking new superMAC.

I have the same problem. I am having a network with a buddy over christmas to play CiV, he has a PC i have a Mac, ergo different versions. What I am doing is getting a version of Windows 7 and installing CiV via bootcamp for the network. Perhaps this is something you may want to consider...
