hey everyone, i've been looking around for some help on modding religion... however, i am only finding mods no tutorials. my issue is that i can't find any files to mod! HOW CAN THIS BE??? if you talked to me before you may know that i am terrible at finding files. but i really have no clue...

same thing happened to me. not sure why. i asked my friend to create the lh and button on photoshop, convert to dds and send it to me. he did and i got pink. so i just made my own with gimp and downloaded the dds converter plug-in for it. it worked fine

thank you so much, kael! i only had to watch a couple of your vids and then i got the hang of it! they are great! however, i am really close to finishing my mod scenario of the Haitian Revolution but i don't now how to do one thing... i'd like an ability in the game where if the haitians pillage...

not sure if its done, but im creating a "haitian rev" scenario. im learning how to mod right now. keep in touch if you want me to notify you when i start and finish the scenario

im on vista (i know...) and im looking at my games> beyond the sword> assets, custom assets, etc.

GAH! i bought the download for civ iv and bts. i love the games and everything was going great (except some weird black blotches on the LH's). then i wanted to start modding, i was going through kael's awesome tutorials when i realized, THERE ARE NO FILES IN MY FOLDERS! how can i run the game...

yes. my vanilla version is perfect except for the weird black blotches i was talking about. and no, im in beyond the sword. not a mod folder.

i have a custom assets/xml folder. but my assets folder just leads to the .fpk's

well, the weird assets folders i was telling you about, their extension is .fpk. wait... i just found (in the logs folder) an xml file, a resmgr file and an init file. they are all text docs. how do i unpack them?

i cant find anything containing "great_spy".

hmmm.... i don't know how i would have deleted them. if it makes a difference, i didnt use a disk, i bought the download of civ4 and bts online
