So i got to installing Civ V again. Open the game on steam and instead of getting the "Launcher" it just opens up the DX9 version of the game. ( have been playing DX11 version since release) Went to steam folder and opened the Launcher manually, chose the "Recommended" DX10/11 one and it booted...

And it gets more interesting o.o So i start the launcher, right click it to make a desktop shortcut for the DX10/11 one. My computer asks as usuall permission if i want to let steam "go ahead", annoyed i clicked cancell... and lo and behold, the game starts up in DX10/11 mode without a problem...

Yup! My Ghandi Bollywood game. Was quite a slogg too especially as the lesser friendly civs started growing upto the critical mass size. But finished it without war and not abbusing citystates.

One thing i noticed about DRM's... People seem to always rant about how a game "needs yout o be online at all times, even when doing single player". Even for Civ 5 this was done about having to have steam online etc... Why haven't anyone pissed on blizzards parade with Starcraft 2? Exact...

Dislike the atrocious way of handling DLC. 4 maps for 10$, hell no. Community can make em easily, way better, and for free. Take a look at the warcraft map, while not my cup of tea, it's still a pretty good detailed map. Unlike the DLC maps released... just look how bad Italy looks o.O

Like that idea Charon, this will definatly clean the forum up a little. As for some liking... anyone heard anything yet about the supposed new civs? Cant wait to get my hands on some new civs :)

just look at the massive land slide, almost 90% do not want to buy the maps. So good to see the community getting together on this one. Wonder if 2kgreg will show his face in this thread :D

I only got one of them from my pre-order steam buy. (mesopotamia) I refuse to buy a massive inflated price over maps which the community as a whole can make themselves faster and better. Not to mention that in Civ it's about exploring unknown territory! No fun know the lay of the land from...
