This is pushing it, but does anyone here ever discuss the DS version of Rev? I'd like tips and tricks for that, too.

Could anyone tell me how to play Civ3 in windowed mode? I have vanilla CIV3. Just tell me what file has the line or something (e.g. a text file with something like Fullscreen = 1). Thanks a lot if you can help.

Ugh, I'm usually the useless one in my games.. the only Civ game I ever finished was on the DS. And my continents always have 3 others and jungle covering every. SINGLE. SPACE!! (almost,anyways) AARGH

I installed no patch.... I presume you mean the one in this forum? I thought it was for MGM and TOT, and I confirmed I have vanilla CivII.

I was joking... :P And I got more errors... D: "Cannot find SHELL.DLL" or something, and other errors. :cry:

Does the vanilla Civ2 have multiplayer? If so, maybe I can start a few skirmishes (and lose 'em too) with you guys. :D I just got it working, so gimme a call if you wanna play against a noob (NOT a newbie).

Try going into the folder on the CD, and change (setup if you can't install, or CIV2/CIV2) the compatibility (right click the run/install, hit properties and then compatibility) to Windows 95, and check all boxes. The internet says it works, but not for me (but I have a different error than you).

Games are only LEGAL abandon-ware when the company announces it is public domain. IF the publishers can no longer support that game and you download it, it's ILLEGAL abandon-ware. Anyways, as stated before, Firaxis owns the rights to Civ, to Civ 1 is still technically theirs.
