The biggest problem for me with the later game is that you have gone to considerable trouble building textile factories, rum distilleries and the like but no one has any money left to pay for your goods !

Managed to press on to the year 2300 on my World Map game . Running very well on Vista 32 with the MAF fix. No MAF problems at all now. Still engaged in a war of attrition with China but gradually gaining the upper hand. With a constant tech level of 60-70% I've just start researching...

I haven't come across the Guilds bug... perhaps I bypassed it. Under Windows XP the game ground to a halt at 2195 but installing Vista with the memory fixes has given it a new lease of life with no MAF crashes so far. BTW TR has no equal. I put down BTS the minute the new TR was released and...

I can report that Windows Vista works fine with TR 2.2 and that the MAF solutions for Vista in Anaztaziochs' link work also :) Still get the very occasional scroll freeze though.

I've just tried to install Vista Home Premium to see if that has any effect on the MAF bug. The install was unsuccessful though after about 3.5 hours loading. Will try again this evening. Like you also, I have stacks of unfinished games because of the bug.

I'd also like to put in a vote for the slow game. The current speed is just right , all that needs to be done adjust date speed so that I don't feel inadequate with my paddlewheelers in 2190 AD . :blush:

Soneji always has a bit of a go if he gets the chance. But to be fair we've been at war with/occupied most countries in our time so there are a lot of grudges still out there.
