This seriously decrease the fun of the game IMHO.
one more thing that come to mind is that the existing of barbarian in Civ4 is one interesting feature that worth mentioning. They can really get your nerves and make the game exciting, while space pirates in GalCiv2 only appears in very rare...
to be frank i prefer the civ4 side, the tech tree in galciv2 is quite boring, even compare to the galciv1. compounding to that, civ4 gots tons of mod which can really make the gameplay insane, where i like the Fall From Heaven mod the most
Well i'm also a fan of that game, can we share some comparison between them?
i'd be glad if any similar thread is already exist, please inform me.
below are some opinion quote from galciv2.com

So there is an interesting post by Brad...
wow, this is really a good feature that the civ4 expansion should have, still remember what will happens when you conquer a city with technology that you dont have in civ2?
cant say i'm agree with you, when you learn more about that civis, you have more stuffs to consider, for example, many chinese introduced themselves as "tang ren" in cantonese, which refer to tang dynasty
and basically, we dont ourselve "qing ren" in our mother language:scan:
let the special unit to be Super Duperb Missionary that can enter a rival's city even though the border is close. and when judaism is spreaded in that city, the city posses a high inclination to overthrown, especially if that city was originally owned by the jews civilization
well i would choose production all the time, since the pop-rush cost discontent and some penalties, somemore high production per turn means that you can produce more building or unit that can boost up food, commerce, and sciences
