I almost always go scout -> monument -> Stonehenge or great lib with aristocracy no matter who I am playing. Got it every time so far. I will probably just make a handful after that of the ones I think I need depending on how the game is going.
The national wonders are really for small Civs to...
After 10 turns they will msg you again and be like "Let's do this :):):):), are you still in?"
Edit: The same thing happened to me with two empires wanting to declare on another, I agreed and got into the war early but my fellow conspirators did join in 10 turns.
The religion system sucked so bad :/ I'm about as happy it's gone as I am with SOD. The game does feel a lot slower though, I agree with that for sure.
Lol nothing was added? They added combat to the game, not mindless spamming of units. Also being somewhat competitive as a small civ vs just mindlessly spamming cities is very nice.
Finally took a break after playing all day the last 2 days, game is so much better then Civ 4 at release it's not even funny. It is definitely not Civ 4 2.0, which is good imo. Combat is actually fun now heh. Although sometimes I miss being super lazy with SOD when I'm moving 20 units around >.<
Yeah fair point, but depending on the map if there is a "new world" type land mass there will be plenty of barbs even late. France's ability is just turned off.
