Some people want to take huge risks and get away with it for free. Such players remind me about the big banks. Not to be trusted. You don't want such people in your games.
What's optimal Depends on alot of factors. If all you care about is finishing the game as soon as possible the optimal speed is of course "online".
On the other side the game itself is balanced arround the normal speed, so the more you move away from normal speed, the more unbalancing these...
Lol, somebody don't understand the new game mechanics for sure. Of course you can't get any free chops. Builders should always be needed to chop before planting Districts, Wonders, Aqueducts, or you will undermine very much of the very concept and game design arround the new "charged" workers...
That's a good attitude, my lad, not ruining others game by joining games you don't have time for. The time the game takes varies a good deal, and many players are using some extra time finishing their turns now when new to the game. I'd say ca 5-8 hours. I'm never joining a game (online speed)...
Even with todays Technology it's impossible to make the AI feel better, or as good as, the one in Civ4. The reason is too many gameplay features that requires real intelligence to master. But in multiplayer it can be great fun.
Throwing Money on the problem won't help much. One Unit per Tile...
Indeed a great watch, and alot of great information to Civ 6 noobs out there (that means most of us). I also love it when DanQ is a guest at Beyond the Monument.
OP: Why does each iteration of Civ get more & more cartoony?
Answer: Because its fans are getting older and older, and would like to introduce the game for their kids?
