So I've been running a few games just to test the different ideas the game has about combat leveling. It looks like a basic free colonist soldier gets 3 XP for its first kill. A veteran soldier gets 6. My question is, what does the Spanish leader ability of -50% XP needed to advance actually do...

Actually nevermind- I experimented a little and it looks like the King will continue to add soldiers to his Army even if your rebellion percentage stays the same. In other words, the best strategy is to minimize the time between 0% and 50% rebellion support. This is a glaring hole in the game...

So I have a question- does the European monarch's Expeditionary Force only get units as your Sons of Liberty % increases, or does the REF get bigger and bigger until you declare Revolution, regardless of the time it takes you to get from 1% to 50%? Example: Say it's turn 100 and I have 0%...

I don't ever have the option to do that with the indians and I don't want to give the other Euros a foothold near my cities...

Has anyone found a way to enable this? I hate being stuck with captured colonies but don't want to completely raze them to the ground either. Thanks!

Can someone describe to me how to do this step-by-step? I couldn't find the file "unitinfos.xml". Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
