    Is it CivBE half-product !?

Yes. There are a few tell tale signs that this is the case: > The diplomacy screens are literally copy pasted in some cases from Civ 5. The leader says the same stock phrases, and the player responses are word for word as they were in Civ 5. The game is supposed to be creating atmosphere in a...

The main problem of this game is...

The AI is setup in the exact same way as before as well - even some of the phrases it uses are the same, as well as the player responses. Perhaps this is a deliberate choice by the dev team, but one I have difficulty understanding when their stated goal is to create a spiritual successor to a...

The main problem of this game is...

The issue is that the AI hasn't changed from Civ 5, it even regresses in many areas. The AI of this game doesn't even have the grace to be bad in a new way, which is something I could forgive since that would at least imply they are trying different approaches. Simply put, it appears that...

The main problem of this game is...

Strange expectations? Is it strange to expect a game that looks and feels finished? That's the "problem" with it - a root problem that is the underlying cause of everything else - that it needs about another 6 months (at least) of development time. Time spent honing the game systems, time...

Wonders... What the heck I'm building?

On a base level it's fairly well conceived, but it isn't always well communicated, the wonders being a good example. The same goes for the faction leaders - they are all distinct characters, but this isn't on show when you actually interact with them in game, it's just the same stock phrases...

Is surplus and excess income a sign of sub optimal gaming?

In starcraft it is. In this game, not so much. You generate so much sometimes you probably physically can't spend it all, or the only way would be by spam buying military units and going domination. In any event it's not likely to make a difference to your victory.

Trade Routes: Tweaks, yes; Drastic changes, no

They make the game boring because: A: You do pretty much the exact same thing each game because no other build is viable. B: Half your turn every turn is spent re-establishing trade routes as you mash end turn waiting for your beacon to activate or w/e.

    What to do after winning?

The problem with BE is there really is only one way to play right now. The choices you make are largely superficial, your infrastructure and early game will take the exact same form each time.

    You don't need military

They absolutely need to be nerfed, because Civ derives its replayability from diversity of development paths and strategies. Currently there is only one: spam trade routes, pick your victory condition then hit end turn until the game says you won :crazyeye:. The AI's ineptitude is a whole...

Wonders... What the heck I'm building?

Conceptually they are pretty cool, but the fanciful names and poetic quotes don't communicate much about them. I think it would be alright if there was a brief description alongside it, or on the tooltip. Something like: "Cynosure: An extremely advanced AI whose computations affect reality...

    Poll: Favority Affinity.

Gameplay wise: Probably Purity because of Gene Gardens and early growth, but all 3 are fairly well balanced and I'll happily go with whatever my start dictates. I think Supremacy is best if you have a lot of Firaxite nodes (as opposed to the other affinities when you have a lot of...

    You don't need military

Yes, the AI somehow manages to be even worse than the Civ 5 AI. IMO how the AI civs interact with you and play is the game's biggest flaw, it actually angers me a bit since it feels like they just copy pasted all their AI systems from Civ 5 and didn't bother to improve anything when AI was one...

For someone who hated Civ5, is that worth the buy?

It doesn't really play all that much like your typical Civ 5 games, despite looking superficially very similar. Just like Civ 5 itself it has a couple of nice systems added that make the game interesting at the cost of a lot of irritating flaws, some of which will be patched out and some of...

Is Gods and Kings worth it?

I always felt Civ 5 had great potential; greater than previous iterations of the series, due to the various new mechanics such as the way you spend culture and 1upt putting the strategy (or rather tactics) back into the series. Vanilla was a little stale despite all this however, but G+K has...

Is this the sign of a bad player to start new games until you ''like'' your start ?

Well I think everyone likes a river, since they're OP. Marble implies you love the wonders, which is fine, but a bit of variety spices up the game and makes it last longer :)
