Well to start:
I agree a world map would be good, but the scenario is far from "a joke" without it. I have played it maybe 10 times in full games and always find it interesting.
Lack of France and Italy will most likely be dealt with in the future. Unfortunately, France didn't last long...
Strange... Never had that problem but it is most likely the units that are messed up. Check that you have a militia unit set up in the /arts/units directory. The install works fine but maybe it doesn't work well in NT.
Well... I was trying to capture the essence of infantry's ability to take a beating. Tanks took one unlucky shot and were disabled whereas infantry good withstand punishment.
As far as gov and civs go I can't force a civ to use 1 government and they already favour those that are...
Yes. Thanks. As for tanks I agree 100%. Offense is very tough against infantry. So, I think I will adjust the bonuses given to cities and metropolises because they make infantry almost impossible. This will ensure that something can stop tanks and tanks are still powerful enough.
:king:
LOL. There were many things that couldn't be done properly with out a "firepower" stat. Until Firaxis fixes this an 88 would just be a really slow tank. And since 88s were AT guns but I can't model it they would kill everything really well. Sucks eh?
The Japanese only get Type 87 and then Type 97. The have no tank at Tanks III. The upgrade path for Russian tanks works fine. Thanks for the spelling corrections. :goodjob:
Well. Now that some people have sampled the produce ;) I would like to ask what you would like the next version to include. Regardless of the XP coming up I would like to continue this mod and eventually use this rule set combined with the XP to make some great scenarios.
Until then what...
Finally back from vacation!!!
Jagd: That is the problem with adding civilizations that didn't really have a stellar army. You either model them accurately and no one plays them or you stray from history to make it balanced. It is a double-edged sword and one that I have so far avoided by...
As to WinXP I don't know.
As for adding generic units there are none really. Pic a civ that is close and use their units. China can use Japans and Canada can use Britains. Not accurate but close. I will add a few civilizations in the next version.
Oh yea! :p Adding a new civ would be very problematic because all units are particular to a civ. If you want you could add one and then choose a unit set. If you need precise instructions let me know.
The server is a little flaky. Revisit the server and read the instructions in the news section. Essentially right click and save-as and then rename the file to a .ace extension.
As much as I would have liked to make Bletchley an espionage based wonder the editor doesn't allow for it. So I modeled it as best I could. After all knowledge of future enemy actions, which Bletchley eventually provided, gave the allies a good deal of ability to attack and defend more...
