After having played CIV VI on my Switch, I prefer keyboard and mouse over pro controller. Also, I miss being able to join others in playing the same seed and seeing what others have done differently then me.
I did not follow the history of the pc version but didn't further updates come with the expansions? Also, I've not come across the production bug. What civ have you been playing that does that?
I got CIV on sale (around $40) and I'll just wait for another winter sale after each dlc comes out. If they never go on sale, I'll just wait for the pc complete edition.

I know a lot of publishers will hold off on announcing a product until they deem it time. One of the reasons is that if they announce it too soon there could be potential backlash from their customers waiting for the game, especially if the game is delayed or cancelled.

I never cared for religion in the CIV games. I thought the take on religion in CIV IV was a joke. CIV V was much better in that you could modify aspect of a religion to fit your civ's needs . I have not delved into the religion mechanics in CIV VI yet.
