    What is your zodiac sign?

Team Virgo for me :) I've got a book on zodiac signs and it says that Virgos are typically organised-bordering-OCD and quiet people. I guess that makes me a typical Virgo then.

Silly Habits YOU've Made in Civilization 4.

I sometimes name my units after my promotions...but if I'm playing a game with my dad, then I'll name my units things like "Bob the Warrior" and "Dave the Worker." I've also learned to play some of the diplo musics on guitar. Oh, and I tend to sing along to the Hinduism clip. Not sure why...

Which speed to you play on?

I play on Marathon or Epic most of the time but I've recently started playing on Normal. Tried playing hotseat MP with my brother to show him the game and accidentally left the speed on Marathon. Not making that mistake again.

Who is in your opinion the most hated IA civ leader?

Shaka for definite. Had him on Friendly once and he still DoW'd me. Wasn't prepared at all. I was in peaceful mode and then his SoD washes up on my shores. I've been backstabbed by Saladin and Darius in late game before too, in the same game. The only two civs above me, Saladin's on...

Nobles' Club CXVIII: De Gaulle of France

Hi, I'm new here. Thought I'd play some Nobles Club games to get better at the game...even though I've been playing it for a long time, I'm still not that solid on Noble. 2000 BC

    Help with combat system

It sounds like you're missing siege weapons to me. They have the ability to destroy the city's defensive bonus from fortifications like walls and they also cause collateral damage - when they attack, not only do they soften the unit they are attacking, they also damage the other units in the...

1000 Clues You Play Civ IV Too Much

3077: You try to replicate one of your computer Civ IV games on the board game or vice versa - down to the very last worker. EDIT: And 3078: When faced with a question on Levees in Geography, you are tempted to write: "And they add +1 Production to river tiles!"

1000 Clues You Play Civ IV Too Much

3071: You have learned to play several leaders' themes on *insert appropriate instrument here* Guilty. I know Genghis Khan's, Peter/Stalin's, Charlemagne's (sort of), one of the Chinese ones and Bismarck's. 3072: You want to attempt to play/sing Justinian's theme.

How do you go about with giving custom names to cities?

I stick to the default names myself, although occasionally I do change the name of the Civ and make up a new line of cities. I've even started making lists of the default names so that, in future games, when I play as that Civ, I know what to rename my conquered cities to stay consistent with...

    Newbie need some help!!!

Control your population. Look at how much happiness your city has, and when that gets close to the unhappiness number, look for ways to either increase your happiness (e.g. getting a religion and Priesthood so you can build temples) or stop your city from overgrowing (go to the city screen and...

    Slavery and Overpopulation

@lymond - True, now I think about it it'll only solve the Versailles part, ha. I'm really not awake today. I suppose I do check my cities quite regularly, especially after having built something, so the Avoid Growth button works for me, maybe not for other people. Just sharing my strats. :) *is...

    Slavery and Overpopulation

Do you have access to Universal Suffrage and have a lot of money? US can also rush production but with a fairly hefty payment in gold, especially for wonders. No unhappiness penalty afterwards either. If not, then you will want to restrict cities' growth in the future - if you don't want to...
