I think if it was picking up characteristics from civs from different ages as you progress it would be seen differently, but it's civ switching.
I do hope it's good, I'm not blindly on either the "it's definitely going to be bad" or "it's definitely going to be good" side so we'll see. I do...
"Your people have vested absolute power in you. Can you build three more or less related civilizations to each stand the tests of their particular eras?"
Maybe that's fun too, but you have to say it's a bit different than building a single civilization to stand the test of time.
I was a bit doubtful at first because I thought I’d miss the other eras, but so far it’s been great. I wonder if other people think the same thing. I do feel like I get too many popups, so I’ll try to tune that down - nice recommendation.
I also feel like this engine would be absolutely...
Sorry for the thread necro, but I can't find anything with current details. Are there any more up to date promises about Pitboss in Civ5? Obviously, a month after release didn't happen. I'm hoping to get a game set up this weekend, so if anyone has any details I'd really appreciate it...
Great podcast this week!! The higher-pitched voice guy (sorry, didn't get his name) was unpleasant to listen to though, not adding much and just calling things he didn't like ******ed or whatever.

Oh, I just mean the highest difficulty levels as designed by the developers; I don't do the stuff where you're not allowed to build horsemen, can only play on certain maps, are not allowed certain victory conditions, can't look at the screen, etc. :)
Good luck (sincerely!) I'm at 50 hours now, and have for the most part moved on to new games for the same reason as you - that the game is not engaging, I can beat it at the highest levels, and in general it's basically boring. Luckily, I'm still having a lot of fun working my way up to...
I was just talking about the part where he wrote an article, posted it to a forum, and then started arguing like an insecure child with everyone who disagreed with him. Mystery solved? I know I forgot my sarcasm tags, but I thought it was fairly obvious.
