I'm playing my first game as Greece and I get the same problem. Randomly, units will dissapear when I send them to a city. I'm only in year 1450-1500 something. I have two 9800GTX+'s in SLI with the latest drivers. And I have DirectX 10.

I never expected quirks like this from the AI. It makes the game so much more fun and it makes the AI feel more real.
