I cannot stand it when there are many CS's and then I find Caesar somewhere. It usually leads to him cornering enough to get his Diplo victory.

Bismark is often my nearest neighbor. Life is great when he is irritated at me (and then he winds up getting demolished). BTW - I play as Kame and it never fails finding Bizzy nearby.

I couldn't go back to Civ IV if I wanted to... I've been progressing every time since Civ 1 and I never had any desire to even start a single game on any earlier version, ever. The evolution has been truly phenomenal and it's just feels like devolving by going backwards.

I appear to get the same amount of gold no matter how far my Great Merchant travels to a CS. Has anyone else received more gold dependant on the distance they require you to travel, subject to barbs??? I'm trying ti figure it out. Thx.
Why don't those barbarian Galleys (that enjoy pillaging fishing boats offshore) ever launch a devastating invasion on an unsuspecting coastal city, like a newly formed one? Just like a floating spawned city shouldn't they form with, say an axeman and a swordsman ready for moving in? Now that...

This is hysterical! :lol: And figuring out how to smash Pacal would also truly bother me throughout the entire day.
