    First patch priorities

Voted for the 2 that I expect will be the most dominant - climate change has little or no impact on the game, AI sucks (though you can say that about version of civ!) Agree with a couple of others that there are probably some missing options in the poll - pillaging being the most obvious. Of...

    [GS] Civfanatics Gathering Storm Reviews

I went for 8/10: - map changes and disasters add another dimension to decision making when building and developing cities which is a good thing. - the WC has turned out to be much more interesting and engaging than I expected. - the new civs are interesting with unusual but strong bonuses. - on...

    [GS] GS impressions/random observations thread.

Random observation, Firaxis is todays featured article on Wikipedia (at least here in UK): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Today%27s_featured_list/February_2019

[GS] Power Ranking the Civs (Gathering Storm)

I can understand the general opinion on Canada being weak, but why are a lot of posters focusing on the surprise war thing as the main negative? It's a handful of turns before you can declare formal war irrespective of the other declaration types later on. I would say this is the least of that...

Qhapaq Nan and how they work. Do they sometimes disappear?

Can confirm this is the case. I had a storm sweep over and destroy the tunnel (had to go back through auto-saves to work out what happened to it!) Oddly enough traders don't seem to mind, they carry on through the mountains!

    I don't have a favorite civ...

Don't think it's a bad thing not to have a favourite civ - possibly too easy to choose them by default for every game, or go the opposite approach and just select the easiest 'obvious' civ for each VC, e.g. Korea science. Personally I do have a fave civ but I tend to play them in silly ways when...

[GS] Your first impression score of this expansion

Agreed on almost every point you made both positive and negative (except maybe the end-game stuff only because I've not got that far in any game yet). In particular railroads just seem so pointless, why - if traders create the roads - are players required to manually build the railroads? Dull...

    Not Enough Iron

Played a few games with different maps and civs now and I haven't had a problem with iron or niter, maybe not within my borders but at least within reach of a new city and/or traded from the AI. Can't speak about later-game resources as haven't gone that far yet. Perhaps the RNG gods do not...

[GS] Your first impression score of this expansion

Agreed, I barely played R&F, the features changes were minor and the new civs uninteresting IMHO. My score: 7 Positives: - maps look and play a lot better now as far as I can tell - less insane forward settling by the AI and generally a little more room in the early game (though only started a...

    [GS] GS impressions/random observations thread.

As this is also a random thread... had a blizzard or sandstorm, can't remember which, but I'm assuming they can also destroy the Inca tunnel improvement as well as 'normal' tile improvements. Had to reload autosaves to check what actually happened but that seems to be the case. Built one...

    Ah yes, duh! Thanks.

[GS] Release time on Steam is wrong?

Excuse my incompetence but where on Steam does it say what time the game is released, I can only see the date (I always have a blind spot for this for some reason!)
