Incorrect Einstein quote: Change the facts.

Not sure how one can fail to see the humour of that particular quote being inacurrate, but I guess here we are. You may not think it's appropriate for the quotes to be mostly comedic in nature, but that's clearly the path they went with for this game, and this quote fits that approach.

[LP] Leader Pass: Great Negotiators Technical Issues

Just decided to send a ticket to Steam an hour ago - didn't get a response but it's working now... maybe that's the way to speed up the process for those who don't want to do the buying something else workaround?

    6otM147 AAR

Hi everyone, first time participating in any of these, despite being a Civ player since... well, Civ 1 when I was a small child, and knowing Civfanatics since the early Civ V days. Not sure why I never gravitated towards GoTM, but here I am I guess. T402 Domination Victory - What was your plan...

[LP] Civilization VI: Leader Pass - Discussion Thread

Oh, ok, I thought Julius was the one people were having trouble with. Fine then. Thanks!

[LP] Civilization VI: Leader Pass - Discussion Thread

Well, the 5Go download did fix it... but I only have Julius, no Leader Pass stuff.

[LP] Civilization VI: Leader Pass - Discussion Thread

I feel the opposite. Her screenshotted ability is a) OP b) not very interesting gameplaywise The listed abilities are not amazing, but encouraging trade with other civs from your continent is at least kinda unique.

I feel like this installment is missing the "civilization" part of Civilization

I find this thread strange because I've mostly experienced the opposite : it feels like there's a lot more room than there was in V, which is a good thing. I'm sometimes even frustrated that it takes me so long to meet the third city-state for political philosophy.

    Continent Flavors

The Europe/Asia border is not arbitrary... not fully at least. First of all, only a part of it is even debatable : clearly the Bosphorus and the Caucasus are pretty satisfactory frontiers. The Ural is more of an excuse, but it is a mountainous range that does act as somewhat of a divider on part...

What Civ are you most surprised is missing?

The Incas. If you're going to get away from too many European nations, the Incas are the number 1 South-American civ of choice... nothing against Brazil, but it kinda boggles my mind that they chose it over the Inca. Other than that, the Mongols probably, because they're one of the original...

Why does each iteration of Civ get more & more cartoony?

I was cartoonish. II was less cartoonish/about as much. III was less cartoonish. IV was more cartoonish. V was less cartoonish. VI is more cartoonish. Yeah, a real trend there...

    Sea resources are incredibly under-tuned

It's possible sea resources need a buff, but when did you want to work coastal tiles in CiV ? Basically never.

    Sea resources are incredibly under-tuned

Except the person I quoted was arguing that flavour didn't matter all that much to him. Now this argument I kinda get, though there's also plenty of cities (Rome and Athens being some of the most obvious examples) that have the CiVI setup of being inland with a harbour outside the city, giving...

    Sea resources are incredibly under-tuned

I just fail to see why it's a problem. Some areas are better than others... that's not a balance problem. You wouldn't want any area to be a great place to plop down a city would you ? Otherwise where are your choices ? So... most of the times coastal cities won't be a great choice. This is a...

    Sea resources are incredibly under-tuned

So, in CiV you almost never wanted to settle one tile away from the coast. Did you have a problem with that ? It seems more balance here in this sense : I think you'll mostly want to be one tile away, but for some things (naval production, reaching farther away sea resources), you'll sometimes...

    Hidden Agenda Speculation

In quill's Rome LP, Scythia had the "Civilized" hidden agenda, which makes the AI like civs that clear out barbarian camps, and not like civs that neglect barbarians.
