[GS] June 2019 Patch: Undocumented Changes

Arranging great works is a pain again: you have to click, hold and scroll if you want to move a great work to a venue that’s out of view. This was introduced in the last patch, then quickly patched out, but it’s back.

[R&F] 2 Civs Dead Due to Loyalty

Not quite, but I just restarted a game where I was boxed in by two civs. I managed to get down a second city, but already it was suffering from a minor loyalty problem. But there was no way to settle a third city without incurring a loyalty penalty of 15+. There was no way I could overcome...

New wonder video: Casa de Contratación

I don’t want to devalue the achievements of our Spanish friends, but if they were going for a “colonial international trade” theme, perhaps they should have included the Dutch East India Company instead? I *suspect* it’s better known. It’s considered the world’s first transnational publicly...

    Are Archaeologists limited?

This happens ALL THE TIME. It makes no sense. It is very frustrating

Is Civ 6 more difficult post-patch and have you changed the difficulty you play?

It's the same with a cultural victory. The AI places no value on works of art, so you can clear them out of all of their art works in a single deal, where you offer something like 1 lux. The only limit seems to be whether you have space to hold the works. So take your time building...

    Summer 2017 Patch Notes Discussion

I'm playing a game now where I'm formally at peace with Australia, but where I'm prompted to attack their units when they're in range. I can attack and kill them, with no impact on my friendly relations with John Curtin. I've stolen several settlers this way. This is the first time I'm seen...

Is there going to be a patch to sort out the bugs this patch has created

I noticed this as well. You can tack as many of their artworks onto a trade and they'll gladly give them away. The only limit is whether you have space. So there's no longer competition for artworks. If a competitor nabs an artist you want, just pay 'em a dollar and take all the pieces in a trade.

Post Summer patch, is the AI too friendly?

I've just finished a game and have had a similar experience to some posters. I found the AIs to be very friendly as well. For pretty much the entire game. There was one joint declaration of war, but that was soon over. I didn't get a sense of any rising hostility as I approached by cultural...

"Start Game" then back to menu

Hi all I encountered the same problem, but fixed it after doing the following. I hope that this helps someone. :) - I reinstalled the game, but found that I was still being returned to the start menu. - It was only after unsubscribing from the following mods that I was able to play: AI Free...

    Phantom of the Opera

I don't have anything useful to say, but I *love* the thread title.

    Wonders not so wonderful

Sounds good to me, but is there any historical precedent for my cassus belli idea? On reflection, war over stolen art could be a bit of an overreaction. On the flip side, it's also galling to think that your art could be stolen with impunity.

    Wonders not so wonderful

I wonder if that should be a cassus belli? "War of cultural liberation" or something? You suffer no war monger penalty if you sue only for stolen items. Could also include archeological items taken from your territory.

Can we please stop doing elimination games

Maybe we need an Elimination Thread Elimination Thread? We'll keep the top 3 and eliminate the rest?
