Civ 5 How to REX effectively?

RExing is often most effective with Civs that would do better with a wider empire rather than a taller empire. Having experimented with it a quite a bit since the release of G&K, here are somethings I find most effective. 1. Definitely go Liberty. but the free settler should be your finisher...

    Great Prophet

The ability to enhance/ create a holy site is lost immediately after the first religion spread of a great prophet.

    Any cheats for Civ 5?

Yeah there is, it's called playing on Settler.

    Byzantium UA overpowered?

Yeah so you super spread your religion, now what? You are either raking in gold, happiness, culture or faith. There is still not too much OP regarding it. Though it's amazing to see the AI use inquisitors to hopelessly preserve their religion, having a super strong religion doesn't necessarily...

    Riverstarts.

I mean sure it's awesome to have the extra early gold and build the garden but really you shouldn't be so picky with your starts. Then again that's my opinion.

    Why am I a warmongerer?

I have given up hope of changing the AIs mind to be friendly. Instead I have decided to wear my Warmonger title with pride.

    Gold efficiency of unit upgrades

It's not always the bang for the buck, at least for me. It's more what you need and when. Also, the goal to creating a strong military is not researching the tech then building/buying the unit. For example, getting galleases to frigates upgraded is a faster way of getting a fleet than building...

What do you think is the best UU? The worst?

So, I think we all need a reevaluation post G&K. For one, the Ship of the Line is suddenly a very very strong unit in my opinion.

    Strategic Resources

Hence, you build pikeman and wait till you get musketmen. Luckily siege equipment- catapults and trebuchets no longer have the iron requisite.

    [FIXED] "Black hole" tile

This has actually happened to me too. It's weird.

    Triremes in deep water

Turtle ships are no longer range units, but they can enter shallow ocean tiles I believe. As far as why a dromon was in the ocean, beats me!

Religion Bug: Find out instantly who founded what religion

Pretty sure it's a bug and I have noticed it myself too.

New Difficulty Level Between Emperor and Immortal

As a person who gets rather annoyed by people that re-roll starts; NO, you don't need a perfect start to get the wonders you want on Emperor. You can have a rather low production start and still more than comfortably get what you need. That being said, that doesn't mean you can get all of them...

New Difficulty Level Between Emperor and Immortal

I can't help but agree with the OP. Emperor does allow for the building of just about every wonder you want and more than a few that you should not be able to get. Infact the Emperor difficulty really offers a challenge with the presence of Ramesses with Marble. and Attila, Rome and Cathy as...

    Raze city canceling national wonder

The only real reason to allow for a slow burn i.e. allow the city to be razed in the number of turns of it's current population is to ensure that the original owner of the city has a decent opportunity to get the city back within those turns. I do quite believe that razing AI cities carries...
