[GS] "Should I stay or should I go..."

Wow, thanks for all your replies and advice (sorry for the slow response, forgot I had posted this!). I'm definitely inclined to purchase GS and give civ6 another blast, and if it still fails to entice me, I can revert to cIV BtS for my Civilisation fix. Happy days... Cheers all

[GS] "Should I stay or should I go..."

Hi Civvers. I'm an old school Civ player (since the beginning!). Played them all, struggled with Civ5 and fell out of love with Civ6. Even went back to Civ4 for a few months... Question is, should I immerse myself in Gathering Storm (and other DLC?) and give it another go? I love exploration...

    [R&F] First R&F Civ?

So, who you're going to try out first tomorrow? I'm thinking Cree, although a Impi rush looks fun...

Old timer's, what are your thoughts so far?

Massive fan of Civ 2 and 4, so really hoping Civ 6 maintains the 'even' quality. I was always an Empire builder, so although 1upt was frustrating, I really didn't like the global happiness of CiV. I always thought the City health and happiness features were a good way of limiting growth...

How is Liberty Supposed to Work in BNW?

I do something similar, and often complete both Liberty and Tradition before moving into Rationalism. I always thought Liberty was the OP tree, I am missing something or has it changed? I just love the free worker, free settler and free GP, and they often drop just when needed.;)

If you could mix and match three uniques, what would you choose?

Mine would be UB - Mayan Pyramid UU - Pathfinders UA - Babylonian Ingenuity or Korean one

    Liberty AND Tradition (2013 BNW)

Am I wrong to go for both Libery and Tradition? I know I probably shouldn't, but I keep doing it..!!;) I love the free worker, free settler and free GPerson in Lib (they all turn up pretty much when i need them if I go Lib first), but I also love the Wonder boost, free cultural buildings and...

    Trade calculation

Do you receive the trades pointing to the left, or the ones to the right? I could never work out if i was gifting or receiving beakers? I should of read the blurb i guess...

    Why not 2 July?

patience....i would much rather it be late and good, then early and rubbish hopefully they have learnt their lesson with the vanilla release being so buggy and unplayable, that said, i haven't played civ5 since news broke about BNW, so i am getting somewhat twitchy

    Blockading Ports

Blockading cities was a viable tactic in Civ4. I often beelined Privateers then and used them to stifle the leading AI's economy. I really hope that this will be back in BNW (along with the return of a pirate-style naval unit).

    Q&A with Dennis Shirk

Surely they could/should be an aggressive late game civ... I'm ok with Shaka and the Zulus being in Civ, even if its more because they have been represented in previous Civs rather then their true historical significance. Realism is important, but variety and gameplay are cruical. :)
