I could be wrong here but I seem to remember someone on these forums once claimed the AI will not attack a fortified veteran Infantry (except in a city).

How did you get that prompt from the domestic advisor about unhappy cities? Some kind of mod? I use CivAssist2 for this kind of thing but would much prefer a prompt like that!

Very impressive how quickly you won Sengoku. I only have a couple Diplomatic wins in that Conquest, mostly just Domination wins. Looking forward to French dominance! Vive La France! I have played this Conquest many many times, as every civ (even Sweden for the lulz). I have witnessed AI players...

I could be wrong but I believe the AI does actually upgrade their Daimyo units, despite never moving them out of the capital. I must confess I have used the Daimyo offensively many times, especially when I was younger and played on easier difficulties, but obviously this caused too many defeats...
