    8 Ages of Pace

I think this mod makes the 50% boost even more powerful for human players. Since the AI isn't competent enough to routinely leverage that advantage, the human player will have more time to metagame and plan for future boosts. Given that improving the AI is beyond the scope of this mod, I agree...

    Final Fixes

Just wanted to say thanks for picking up this project and continuing on with it. Civ4 has brought me tons of entertainment and this mod and modmod especially!

I noticed this as well, though I am unsure which version of RI I still have installed. I am cool with its value being higher than other resources given the wide ranging benefits it provides, but like sami, I swear I could never convince the AI to trade it to me.

Rise from Erebus 1.4 Bug Thread

New custom game. Using the version posted at the start of this thread. I have two scouts, no settler. Of note they are 3 tiles apart, there's a bunch of peaks between them, and a mana guardian next to a peak. Not sure if the settler was suppose to spawn in that area and it borked. Don't remember...

    E'iten background

Defilers have the redeeming quality of relentless pursuit of power at all costs. Whether or not they use that power to promote 'good' or 'evil' is up to them. And I was joking about the names, glad Jheral caught it. But reading the OP, I kept thinking, this is totally Dark Sun. My only...

Totally agree, except I think it should only apply to ranged combat units. Melee units can still adequately defend an un-walled city, in a non-guerrilla style akin to the urban combat. Archers though, in an un-walled city with city garrison are really no different than being out in the open...

The Fall from Heaven mod has defensive strikes which may be something like what you are thinking of. Very interesting mechanic to enhance ranged units.

Go back a few turns, open WB, see if there's an enemy city with a huge army in it, use the delete tool and delete the tile, then play a few turns. Almost all my issues with reproduceable crashes involve the AI having too many units. I think this is another reason why Rhye's has plague in RFC...

America - NE - Mark Twain's "Adventures of Tom Sawyer" HE - Ernest Hemmingway's "A Farewell to Arms" Oh and England's HE has to be Beowulf, I mean come on, it is freakin Beowulf!

About the starting settler . . . This may be true in Vanilla BTS and your mod, but not in FFH2. The AI will most definitely move their starting settler to a better location in FFH2. In fact, I have seen the AI not settle until Turn 2 because they moved so far (with a 4 move settler). It...

    Realism Invictus

Not sure if this is a bug, but I have noticed if two civs go to war early in the game, they seemingly end up at war the entire game. The only breaks are (I assume they get the random peace event) 10 turns of peace, then right back at war. If they are at similar power they basically stalemate and...

    Realism Invictus

This is a game. It is suppose to be fun. The constant endeavor towards 'realism' is a flawed strategy if the entertainment aspect of the game isn't constantly regarded. Before making sweeping changes to civics, people really need to think about how it effects gameplay and entertain first, and...

    Siege Warfare

My smaller army is going to be a lot more durable and deadly thanks to all the extra promotions it has, mostly due to guaranteed victories after siege softening enemies. Not only do I stand a better chance of surviving, but my survivors will have more health and thus be able to withstand a...

Feature requests: Inquisitor - autocast option. One button press and they automagically goto nearest city with a non-state religion and blast it. Basically the same as a missionary, only in reverse. Govt Official - autocast option for each building they can build. Again, works same as...
