The biggest problem that needs to be fixed next patch

"He was once a great mage, but now lives like a rat in a sinking vessel. You have questions for Ormus and doubt in yourself. Ormus sees a strange dichotomy in you... as he does in all would-be heroes. Speak to him and he may grant you wisdom in turn. Or turn from him and seek wisdom in thyself."...

    Boring Victory.. Please patch!

Prettier and more complex graphs and tables would be a very nice bonus, but otherwise i'm satisfied with the final splashscreen. Just playing the game itself is rewarding enough for me :) And although i liked the wonder animations in Civ IV, i simply adore the paintings of wonders in Civ V...

My short film (based on CIV V) is a VIMEO STAFF PICK!

The way i understand it - the author didn't mean to be absolutely historically precise. The video depicts events that are similar to those that have happened (or may have happened / can happen / will possibly happen). Above all it's about human nature. Aaanyway, i don't understand where you...

Why do people say that Germany and Japan perform badly?

One of my most amazing victories was actually with Germany. I was playing Vanilla Civ on marathon speed, got really lucky and amassed an army so great, that i steamrolled every other nation. And whad'ya know, it turned out to be a Pangea map. Unstoppable. Teutonic. FURY! The game was...

    Game seems harder

One can maintain high happiness, but it often depends on sheer luck. - having a variety of luxury resources nearby - happiness oriented religion (for example i can never resist taking Pagodas when they're still available (which is improbable)) - quickly adapting happiness-boosting social...

Is it just me, or is Catholicism the most frequently chosen religion by AI?

I think Siam takes Buddhism as their first choice. But the combinations can be pretty hilarious, for example in my recent game there's an expanding Buddhist Roman empire on the other continent while i am playing as Jewish Venice :D Anyway, i've never seen anyone take Sikhism or Tengrilism. I...

    cultural victory too hard!

I managed to pull a cultural victory once (large map, 10 players, emperor). Built my second city near mt. Sinai and went for full piety. I was first to start a religion (chose pagodas) and first to enhance a religion (chose cathedrals). Then i picked the reformation belief, which gives +2...
