Anyway to make a mod that allows ally units to pass through city-centers?

I love making long canals on heavy lake maps in co-op, but this is usually only possible by utilizing the city center as part of the canal. Unfortunately, this means your ally cannot use your canal at all. Would it be possible to make a mod that allows allies to pass-through an allies city...

[NFP] Now that the April 2021 update is out, what other changes to civ abilities would you suggest?

Honestly, with the NFP power creep I wish they were a bit more generous to the buffs for older civs. As far as the civs that I'm most familiar with: Georgia: The Khevsur being in a unit promotion line is nice, but Georgia has no business going for military tactics and researching it to get...

Using World Builder with Barbarians and Clans

Has anyone gotten barbarians and clans to work with the world builder? I've created a world with civs and city-states placed and set the map to have a greater number of city-states than the ones I've made placements for. When I encounter a barbarian clan it says "city-state conversion...

    [GS] GS impressions/random observations thread.

I played a game as Phoenicia and the Colonial Taxes worked as intended when the capital was moved but the Casa De Contratacion still applied to the wrong cities. In this case, that included the city where the new original capital was.

1.7k gold should be pretty easy with the new trade route multipliers.

    [GS] Phoenicia Discussion Thread

Goddess of the Harvest chopping and Monumentality + Magnus has always been the most broken way to start since R&F came out. Anyone can use this strategy and there's nothing that the Cree do that makes it easier. The Cree and Phoenicia will play very differently, as they should. I've used the...

    [GS] Phoenicia Discussion Thread

I am so excited about Phoenicia now!! My favorite gameplay style is to have a worldwide empire that takes advantage of Colonial Taxes and Casa de Contratacion as much as possible. The problem is that can very start dependant. Getting a start locked in a big continent is basically game over...

    [GS] Phoenicia Discussion Thread

I'm really confused about how her capital moving will work. Ed Beach says that the Original Capital NEVER moves and references the UI team's three different capital icons. But in the First Look video, it is very clearly the Original Capital icon that moves. How powerful Phoenicia will be is...

Should you get educated elite anymore?

They spawn in your own territory but they also increase the great person point cost of the next one now. They didn't before if I'm not mistaken.

Should you get educated elite anymore?

Playing as Sweden (on epic) and I have 11 city state allies. The last great person spawn was 40 turns ago. Is educated elite still good considering it is giving me random great people? (Which is increasing the time it takes for me to get the great people I really want.) I feel like...

[vanilla] Complete Guide to Happiness (vanilla)

I did some quick tests and I've found them to be global. At least in the case for the buildings I tested (walls, castle), so I'm going to assume other buildings like this are global as well. In short my city of 4 population was producing 7 happiness from buildings.

    happiness question

I know that you pretty much closed the thread but I had a few thoughts on what happiness simulated during war. You have to look at it as two separate things, happiness and unhappiness. When you capture and are winning a war it isn't true that less people are happy. You still produce the same...

[vanilla] Complete Guide to Happiness (vanilla)

I am confused about the whole local happiness from buildings thing. I know that the happiness generated from certain buildings, specifically the Colosseum line, can't exceed the total population. But does this include walls, castles, etc from professional army or universities, observatories, etc...
