I just posted in the previous thread, but seeing as this is the recruitment thread I'll post here. I'm an immortal players with some deity wins and play multiplayer internet games frequently. I'd love to join you guys.
I've only been lurking in the SGOTM forum but I'd like to join. I play multiplayer internet pretty regularly so playing against humans is kind of normal to me. I'll go on whatever CFC team needs a player.
I've been heavily addicted to multiplayer the past few months and in most games tech trades are off in order to stop cheating between players. This eliminates the power of bulbs by Great Scientists so I was wondering what to do with them once I settle my first academy in the capital. So far I...
I have never had success in a pan ffa with espionage but on earth evolution maps they work really well. The difficulty is usually emperor and with a large civilization such as russia or ethiopia you can get a lot of espionage from settled great spy from the great wall or from courthouses. I've...
In multiplayer attaching a great general can have its advantages. If you get a great general and are in a close war (anyone can win) attaching for a super unit can sway the battle. If the was is just mop up settling or super medic is the best.
Earth 18 is a really bad map because the civs are all very unbalanced.
The Earth Evolution 2 (its a map script) places all civs in their historical positions but gives each starting area a significant boost to make them equal. Mali's land has more health resources and copper. Spain starts on...
In a 3v3 team game (inland sea)two people Have border contact with the other team while the guy in the middle only expands and wonder whores. Henge goes later than single player games in multiplayer and of the players on the border aren't cre than they need free monuments. The effect of henge is...
Japan is one of the best civs in the game. It can conquer china easily and has one of the best capitals on the map. Mali is by far the worst if you don't take the seven turn trek to settle on the north African coast.
You can build Henge on teamer games in multiplayer with quick speed, inland sea. Settings vary so much you can make the argument for almost any strategy.
Reading all the strategy articles is not enough because some of them are outdated and you need to see the theory in practice. Reading through the walkthroughs on higher levels like Kossin's Daily Round series and some of Dirk's games in his signature really help more than reading only strategy...
Losing wars is quiet common I think, just not when the human is the first to declare war.
There are many times were I have been killed because to keep up with high level expansion you need to neglect military. When an AI comes to attack you before 1000 BC there is no way to stop yourself from...
