I've looked through texts and scenerio editors but I can't figure out if I can change when or if barracks become obsolete. I'm doing a scen. where the techs turn to magic rather than guns at the renaissance and I'd like to know if I have to work around that or include it in my tech tree plans...

Do you mean that an engineer can change the terrain, say from grassland to forest, and make silk or pheasant appear in that space if the grassland had covered up a resource there?

The only one I made was a large map with seven islands, all exactly the same , in order to see how the AIs would deal with the same situation.. had to make a scenario out of it to start them all in the same places. Turned out boring, but may be interesting for MP (without telling the suckers...
