Based on the idea given to me by Bobby Lee, i am going to make a scenario series based on the Lost Regiment books, the first one is the landing of the Americans, from now on called Yankees, And their struggle to surviv in the first few months of their landing. I would post it right now, except i need a couple of suggestions on unit art.

1: A blimp like the ones the Germans used in between WW1 and WW2.

2: A tank like the ones used in WW1.

3: Ideal unit stats for units

4: anything else from people who have read this book before.

More will come on this once the map is completed.

Are you going to make the tribes playable?

Tugars i remember, but none of the others (I read the whole series lol)

Are you going to make the human civs playable?

Rus, Roum, Chin, Norse, Cartha, english pirates, Nipponese? I think the "Yankees" should not be thier own civ, but added as special units in the Rus Republic, beefed up majorly, or, as Generals with good fighting ability and can be combined with regular Rus forces to form an army.

The alien tribes such as the Tugars should be totally underpowered, as in the book, humans with rifles slaughtered them en masse, but, they should have huge numbers, massiveley huge numbers of warriors.

Nor should they own cities either. they were nomadic. Dunno how to accomplish this and still give them the ability to create units. Maybe disallow them to create settlers/workers, but give them so many units to begin with. I know the Tugars had alot of warriors compared to the Rus, but I do remmber that the next tribe, the Merki (!), had like 10 times the tugars did. Then after them that other tribe south of the Merki had ten times more the Merki did, oh yeah, they were called the Bantag. There was even more bigger tribes south of that.

The level of hostility between the human and alien civs should be very high.

The Rus and to a lesser degree the Roum (unless you want them in the game as a united Republic, s they were when they fought the Merki Horde and the Bantag Horde)

Are you planning to start the game maybe as the Yankees when they first arrived and have them take over Rus from the Boyars?

Remember the Great Forest in the north of Rus? I remember that alot of Anti-Horde, anti-Boyar, anarchist and criminals took refuge there, maybe this can be represented in some way.

Does Civ3 allow a civ to exist without owning any cities? I hope so :)

Man, I feel like re-reading the series again now :)

Have you ever read the General series by S.M. Stirling? I'd like to make a scenario about that, would be great!

I think that i said that i would make this a scenario series base on the books. The first one is based when the Yankees land and fight for the freedom of the Rus and the destruction of the Tugar. I cant wait for the full editor so i can make triggers, but in the meantime you just have to conquer the Rus and destroy the Tugar (who will be super-strong horse riders). All i have left to complete is the map for the first scenario. Out of curiousity does anyone know where online or in the books i can find a complete map of the world of the Lost Regiment?
