~1000 AD large map C3C.
I have been in contact with the other civs of my world for a while now. After Navigation, I traded for world maps of all the other civs (except the one I am currently conquering) I can see on the maps that certain civs have luxuries to trade but there are none...
I am playing C3C. I just received my first SGL last night. First, SGLs can rush great wonders correct? If so I am going to hold onto him for ~ 8 turns until I get economics and build Smiths Trading Co.
I am also involved in a war. 2nd question, if I have an SGL can I still get MGLs?
I am playing Conquests 1.22 on a large map Regent level.
I know that bombers and ships have lethal bombard now. Do artillery have lethal bombard also (I think they dont)? So, say I have a city that I am attacking. I have been using my artillery first to get all the garrison units down to...
Last night I switched from Republic to Monarchy and in the same turn I switched to mobilization. All of my cities automatically switched to building units (even a wonder) Is that the new way that mobization works in Conquests or was it because of the revolution?
I am playing Conquests. I am attempting a domination win and I am currently in Republic. I am at war with the largest civ early in the Modern Era. I need to change governments to something more conducive to war. I have ~50 cities and ~20 are larger than 12. What government is going to be...
Do you have to have Iron to build railroads in Conquests? My sole source of iron depleted last night and I could no longer build railroads. After I traded for iron, I could build them again. Is this a bug?
Last night I was waiting for a trade deal to expire. I was paying 90-something GPT for Saltpeter and I had just discovered Nationalism. Anyway, I saw I had one turn left on the deal and I thought it would expire without any action from me, well it didnt. So I hunted around until I saw the...
I am playing Civ 3 Conquests 1.22. I remember reading somewhere that slaves cause unhappy citizens in some forms of government. Is that true or did I make it up?
I am playing CIV 3 1.29f.
I am playing as the Japanese. I conquered all of the Persian cities. I recently went to war with chinese against the Babylonians and Zulus. We wiped them out. Now I am contemplating taking out the Chinese.
How will all of the "conquered" nationals react to war...
I have 2 question regarding modern armor. I am playing a regent level game CIV 3 1.29f.
1. Does MA ignore cultural borders? I thought I saw that MA could use other civs roads and RR.
2. What is the cost to upgrade from tanks to MA?
My first question is how can I win with this game? All victory conditions are on except space race. Id rather not do domination because Im a builder type I have been gearing up for a Cultural win. I am in 2nd place right now and have been building cultural improvements in lots of cities...
CIV 3 1.29f
I have several cities that are contain citizens from other civs. All are under 50% foreigners right now and hopefully will continue to grow. Do citizens from other civs ever become "your" citizens? If so how does it work? This is assuming that I don't destroy the opposing civs.
In a war of conquest, I usually try to take out the border cities first and then move on to the core cities. Is it better to take out the core cities first and then mop up the rest? What do y'all do?
I set my mobilization to war time in preparation for a short conquest of my neighbor. Well...It didn't turn out that way. The only way to get out of it is to make peace, right? Can I declare war on someone else and then make peace with them and get out of it while still remaining at war with...
Early in the Modern age.
I have just captured 10 Egyptian cities. They range in size from 1 to 15. I was planning to starve / produce workers until the cities are size 1 and then begin building my culture and my population from there. After reading about culture flippings causes, I am...
