CIV IV greatest game in history

LoL, my dad is exactly like that guy from ctrl-alt-del. He'll start talking to you about it even while your telling him to shut up about it. As for the greatest game ever, it is clearly pong. However if this was about favourite game ever... well lets just say ive got too many favourites.

    Experience question

How do you get units above level 4, they dont seem to get any experience for kills.

    Oh Noes

Well i installed the mastery victory mod, its good... makes it clear who your real competition for victory is, but the best thing about it is that it allows you to build a spaceship without ending the game.

    Oh Noes

Can you have the mastery mod without sevomod?

    ocean trade routes!!

http://www.twcenter.net/pics/layout/clan/egypt.jpg Thats a screenshot of what they look like in rome:tw (its a bit too far zoomed out and doesnt look as cool as when animated), the better the trade of a route the more caravans/boats were displayed traveling along it. You could only prevent the...

Maybe the display of roads gets disabled once you can build railroads? it wouldnt effect gameplay in the slightest as you would no longer be building roads anyway.

I was refering to the same picture, i am hoping its a future era, not just scenario... if not then i'll simply mod it in myself.

No, i think its pretty obvious their not. The mech looks to be the upgrade for mech infantry and the mobile fortress looks to be the upgrade for modern armor.

New IGN info (May 23, 2007)

It would be worthwhile for any warmonger... or any small civs, i find that i can usually expand out till my science is running at 50%, the espionage system sounds like it would give small civs a chance at effecting larger civs.

    ocean trade routes!!

R:TW did them very well (i wasted alot of time playing that game :P) hopefully bts does them simular. I loved the way caravans & boats would be displayed traveling along thier trade routs in R:TW.

New IGN info (May 23, 2007)

Im guessing it was just a demonstration of the new modding capabilities, as in being able to have different looking units for different civs without them actually being any different.

    Oh Noes

The difference being that if you are going for either a cultural, space race, score, domination or conquest victory... all of which take a long time to do, you are going to loose to which ever civ decides to build the apostolic palace and go for a diplomacy victory. The only way to survive is...

    Oh Noes

From the IGN interview. Advance starts does not solve the problem for anyone who doesn't intend on using them, most likely players are going to have to disable the Apostolic Palace & new victory type just to be able to make it throught into the modern ages.
