We have a group of 3-4 players at the moment ready to civ. Do you guys think that with 3 players it's worth adding AIs to the game or just play 1v1v1?
How does AI do in MP? Can you interact with them like in singleplayer?
Immortal difficulty, Byzantine Empire.
Japan is down right, right after the fog.
God of the sea and then hope for the best? Where would you place a second city?
I find the 1-luxury capitol bit of a problem here. Also looks like only way to get religion is just shrines and get it...

I don't see any reason not to be connected as Carthage here...any reason? Did something change with BNW?
Noticed in one of my immortal games that Sweden spammed a ton of Hakkapeliittas, their unique lancer replacement.
Then as turns went by, they keep spamming them against my great war infantry and later...infantry. He had some decent promotions to them but man, they could have used some other...
Sweden has -110 gold per turn. Yet never goes to negative gold and rocks like 400 gold each turn no matter what...They've ben having this income for many turns now and they still got gold each turn around 100 - 500.
what's the point of GPT if they cant just cheat their way back?
Found this strategy quite powerful, especially for empires that are not focused on military side of tech tree you can acquire 6 foreign legions when everyone else has longswordsmen on Immortal difficulty.
I just went for Industrialization ASAP as a commerce strategy, then rush bought 3...
So I started off a game as Morocco, Immortal difficulty.
The UA seems ok at start, since even the most horrible early game routes can give you quite a nice income. (+3 gold, +1 culture for each trade route with different civ/CS).
This ability however does get quite weak later in the game...
Just wondering. On immortal it seems very hard to launch any kind of invasion force to the other side of the map when you got your own borders to worry about. That's excatly what happened, and when I realised that Washington is becoming a powerhouse, it was pretty much too late.
My last effort...
After getting mauled on immortal after patch for a few times, I decided to try once more with Greece.
I managed to get many city-states allies from the start by helping them kill the barb camps. From there on I realised that Diplo victory might be a possibility.
Some of my neighbours realised...
Sometimes when I play, I start off good and think of a lot of small details but as I press turns away I kinda get lost in the moment and I just keep going faster and faster, often resulting me missing a lot of important popups and other info.
Do you guys have the same sometimes?
I was just wondering, will this mod add AI tweaks?
Reason I'm asking is because I find it quite silly how on Immortal a civ can declare war on me, I win that war, and then they ask for peace and give me 3000 gold and all their luxuries.
I would've propably accepted that offer even without...
It seems way too powerful. AI just can't handle my Sea Beggars/Privateers and suddenly their armada is mine.
Should it be changed? It's a bit too obvious promotion just to abuse the quite poor naval AI and I don't think it is very balanced. Just felt wrong stealing AIs main naval force in...
Hi,
Been playing emperor for some time now on GK and can win now consistently so I was thinking of moving up a difficulty.
Just wondering what I should expect. How much harder Immortal is compared to Emperor?
Hello,
So I've been playing continents and pangaea almost exlusively and now I need something new since continents is boring the heck out of me (always 2 continents and CS island).
What recommendations you guys have for interesting map types? The europe looks ok, but I don't really always...
Not sure if this is normal, but I'm playing on emperor and every AI seems to get a minimum of 60 gold per turn (by 0 AD) and for example Oda has 4500 gold.
And overall I seem to be getting my butt handed to me hard. Is the overall difficulty increased? I used to be able to cope on emperor...
So I played this King game with Gandhi and won a cultural victory.
The odd thing I found was that Persia, which had entered future era long before I had all the policies (I was 2-3 techs into modern era), didn't even bother starting the Apollo Program. I think he would've won the game if he...
When you are friends/ally with a maritime/cultural city state as Siam empire, when contacting a city state it shows the regular values you would get without the added bonus of Siam. The mechanic isn't broken, but would be nice to have the bonus shown on city state screen.
Ok so I played two games with king and got my ass whooped pretty hard so I quit.
Then started a 3rd one with Siam, and now I'm the clear leader (at least against all the known civs, currently 4/10). Maybe because of the obscenely high score value of wonders.
In this game Gandhi is not...
Started the game with Greece and Prince difficulty (I know too easy since I played emperor in civ 4).
I witnessed Bismarck not making a single military unit in the whole 160 turns (epic speed) of gaming apart from scouts. I crushed him utterly with companion cavarly combined with a great...
