This game is bad (not a hate post)

Thanks for the people who had the patience to reply in a decent fashion, specially @PhilBowles, who came up with very good points. First of all, I wasn't talking for anyone but me and perhaps a few close friends who play civ, I'm not generalizing. I'm really just saying my opinion of why I...

This game is bad (not a hate post)

I hadn't logged in civfanatics for a very long time, actually something like 3 or 4 years. The reason for this is simple: although I've played civ since I was a kid (I started with civ2 when I was about 10 years old), I felt like civ5 was just plain bad; the more I played, the less I liked it. I...

    Version 2.8beta

I've missed any reply to this, so, if it has already been replied to, my bad. It's not exactly a RoM bug, it is more of a BtS bug: units with hidden nationality cannot load any troops when standing on tiles that reveal their nationality (in RoM, cities). This happens in many other mods, too. So...

    Version 2.8beta

@Lamb Chop I'm gonna download the 2.8 now, but I've seem some similar situations in 2.7x, particularly in the Perfect World mapscript. Some strategic resources have far too random appeareances: I've already stumbled across cities with two or three sources of salt and stone and MAPS with two or...

Version 2.7 bug reports and feedback

The Royal Tournament national wonder requires stables ONLY. It means that if you have built knights' stables, you can't build it anymore, as its upgrading path completely removes the regular stables. :p

Version 2.7 bug reports and feedback

it's the battlefield that blocks it, I've gotten this too =p It works just fine on regular forests. And I haven't tested it yet, but I imagine it might happen to all other terrain attacking promotions on battlefields.

    The "Say Thanks Zap Petition"

well, I've already stated my great enjoyment when playing RoM and my great admiration for Zap's work in other threads, but I just can't get tired of it: Thanks Zap, your mod is absolutely amazing.

    Version 2.7 discussion

it's a donkey! :D (I think) I'm not a fan on nagualism, but I eventually got it as the major world religion in a game. does the holy shrine work properly? I didn't get any free specialist from any quarry at all :p also, the parthenon gives extra science and culture for every state religion...

    Raising costs of army maintenance

Although ur original post makes perfect sense, accomplishing so would ruin AI in RoM. Btw: a fellow brazilian :) That's kinda rare in here :D

    Version 2.x bug reports

I'm not sure this is exactly a bug, and it it is not THAT important, but I'm pretty sure it shouldn't work like this anyway. I was playing the japs, and I had a samurai with the waidan promotion that eventually got too strong and I attached a GG to it. When I could upgrade it, I eventually...

    Version 2.7 discussion

I play this mod since v1.something and I simply love it. And, considering the great evolution of the mod since then, I think there should be more victory conditions. This mod adds flavour and specialization like none of the other "regular" (non-fantasy nor time-specific) mods and some new...

The Comprehensive Thread of Requests For the Next Version of TAM

Shqype, that changelist of yours is pretty good. However, ExMachina's one is even more impressive, specially when it comes to balancing. I also really liked the possibility of making it mandatory for all Holy Shrines to be built only when State Religion is present. After all, if you think...

The Comprehensive Thread of Requests For the Next Version of TAM

Well, people might complain about AI, religions, unbalanced Wonders, text problems, and so on, but two things really bug me: First, I don't get the weapon promotions for the Hittites, their UB (that replaces the smithy) simply doesn't set the weapon promotions for me (I am using the regular...

    TAM BTS 3.17 Compatibility Quickfix

ExMachina's changelist to the game is quite impressive! I'd surely like to give it a try! Can't you upload it somewhere for public DL as a mini-MODMOD or something? plz? :D

    [BTS] Fictionalization IV

@cfkane try adding a "python ppl needeed!" or something to the topic's title. it sounds silly, but it might help =p

Rediciulos! Written out of anger...! ARRRRGGG

Besides random events, I really doubt anything in Civ 4, BtS, RoM or RevDCM might be random. =p

    [BTS] Fictionalization IV

@Spain Spain'll be really hard: before the Roman period, there were too many groups with many ethnic origins. Celtics, protoceltics, tartessians, iberians and a few minors. Besides, it was influenced (and colonized, sometimes) by phoenicians, carthaginians and greeks and we don't know much...

    [BTS] Fictionalization IV

@Persian Rostam, who is probably the most popular mythical hero of the Shahnameh (the most important text on Persian mythology, written 1.000 A.D. circa by Ferdowsi), also referred to as "the champion of champions" in the same book. There's some stuff about him over wiki...

    [BTS] Fictionalization IV

I was reallly missing a mod like this, i loved the verne themed ones back in civ2. btw, verne is a really good inspiration for fantastic themed mods like this one. (nautilus, captain nemo, journey to the center of the earth, journey to the moon, and so on). i also think that some mythic barb...

    The Ancient Mediterranean MOD

@ jsiesser you really should try BTS, it adds a lot to the Vanilla game, and when I say a lot I really mean A LOT. There is even a similar feature to CTP's trade route piracy, blockading with privateers. About your complaint that the ancient times rush in comparison to the middle and...
