    Changing the Civ V Music

The soundtrack component of Cultural Diversity works, adds extensive music, and is compatible with VP. I have installed it multiple times on different pcs and different VP versions. You need to install an older version of the core cultural diversity module (I used v17) which will give a couple...

    Proposal: Manufactory Buff

Maybe give the manufactory improvement some other yields, like a tiny bit of science and some gold, similar to the way towns and holy sites give diverse yields? And buff the base production bulbing gives.

    New Version - 1.4.6 (February 18, 2022)

Ceremonial Burial is massive and scales per era. To The Glory Of God doesn't, although it's nice to get any type of GP you want of course. AFAIK it's not at all abnormal for tradition civs to do best on culture.

    Most recent stable version?

No, this is a different and new issue. When the AI won't peace out after you take a city, it actually tells you it refuses.

    New Version - 1.4.6 (February 18, 2022)

That's working as intended. The base number is -80% for puppet yields except food and production. Venice's ability reduces the penalty by 30% so the modified yields are -50%. I usually mod out the reduction to gold, because I think it's unfun to get a penalty to gold production while you still...

    New Version - 1.4.6 (February 18, 2022)

I'm getting this which is expected under the situation - the AI's capital is conquered and their last city is down to 0 health and under siege - but the actual peace deal can't be accepted, even if it's just a white peace. 'What deal will end this conflict?' leads to the AI just going 'I beg...

    Quick Questions / Quick Answers

Yeah I have a bad habit of loving farms and growing big, tall, and wide, on the theory that a big city has the most yields, has more hammers to get all the buildings, and contributes the most to my empire. Guess I could re-think my approach and go for more efficiency.

    Quick Questions / Quick Answers

Is there a way to go wide without the happiness demands of your cities scaling out of control? I played a Russia game with 20+ cities and the demanded yields of my cities were way beyond anything I was capable of. I thought Progress - Equality would help but I think it just got blown away...

Even More Resources for Vox Populi

    It does for me.

    (7-1) New Beta Version

Any reason my city default focus looks like this? Good tiles being unworked, and lots of laborers who are only producing 1 production and 2 gold each, while I've got plenty of open specialist slots, and the specialists are quite buffed. I guess it's telling me not to be lazy and let AI manage...

    Cultural Diversity

Thanks! Took a while to get it to work, tried using it with the version of cultural diversity (core) on steam and it doesn't, but the V17 you linked works fine with the soundtrack. Much appreciated.

    Cultural Diversity

Might be a long shot, but does anyone have a working link to the soundtrack? I used to play with it some years ago, and really miss it.

[GS] Which disaster intensity are you using?

3 seems pretty fun. The stacking fertility seems almost like an exploit though. I would have expected they could have capped the bonus to +2 food. Or maybe let it go higher, but have a decay factor, the higher the more 'bonused' the tile is. It would still make settling close to volcanoes...

    After Vox Populi Goes Gold

Just further fixes, possible refinement, and modmod development. Status quo. It's more of a discussion as to whether 4X modding efforts as involved as VP could plausibly happen with more advanced engines, noting that the Civ 5 engine is dated and has limitations, as much as the community has...

    New Beta Version - July 15th (7/15)

Maybe the CS is reaching for the salt in an algorithim quirk, it won't get it of course. All the other tiles are equal. Vatican City was getting the lake, which would have been the best tile available. I don't see too much of a problem here.

Clicking on City State does nothing

Yeah I remember getting annoyed by it the first time I noticed. But I got used to it quickly to the point where I barely notice it. I think I work around it subconsciously most of the time.

    New Beta Version - July 15th (7/15)

Yeah I've seen city states pathfinders move around, IIRC in the prior beta as well. I think it's kinda cool that the city states have diverse armies, as long as they don't rely on them. I'm liking the new beta. I do have a concern about the default city citizen AI - it prioritises specialists...

    Quick Questions / Quick Answers

AFAIK that's a yes, so puppets are likely to be an active drain on your economy now. I recall looking at these numbers the other day in an early civ, although I didn't add it all up to verify for certain.

Automated workers should not rip up roads if 'don't replace improvements' is selected

I wonder if it's worth removing road maintenance entirely for this reason. Plausible real world justification: if constructed roads aren't being used, they're generally not being maintained. If they are being used and maintained, presumably the economic benefits from them would always exceed...

    Quick Questions / Quick Answers

Is there a way to make it so that workers can build roads in rival player territory again? (assuming open borders) I assume it may have been removed due to players exploiting to try to bankrupt AI, but the AI doesn't exploit this against me, and I'm not the sort of player that would take...
