Nice to see that this "argumentation" of the few people who still defend Civ V is now as alive as it was at the start of the game... Anyways... tried to play it again.. had a look at the kiddie graphics and the dumb casualisations and quit again. After you´ve finished this game once it´s so...

These were exactly my thoughts when i played the Shogun 2 Demo. They improved the strengths of the game and made it atmospheric. Just the opposite of which was done with Civ V :( (or Dragon Age 2 for that matter).

I didn´t care about this "stacks of doom", i liked the possibility to have large armies and real wars. With the Civ 5 one piece it just feels tiny, boring and not like a whole civilization at all.. So no, not even this change could appeal to me.

That´s exactly the problem... there are enough dumbnuts out there, who pay happily for everything, they got once in the initial game. And they even defend this strategy...

what did you expect? It was clear that they would make money with the civs, since the Babylon Cut out.

Sure you can offend more then 150 people and call them fanatics and what else, or you can just agree, that they changed the complexity of the game too much to the casual side, so that they have angered many people.

well.. at least a third of the fans are unhappy... if you think that´s ok - good for you.

Where did i say combat doesn´t matter? Please quote that, otherwise it´s simply not true.. or do you mean, caus i say i don´t want an "action" game, i think combat doesnt matter? That would be an interesting interpretation... To be honest, i´m not sure if the new way of combat will be an...

Very nice... new Civs already and the stupid one unit per tile gone? Maybe the modders can save Civ V after all :)

Crush the uprising, but with no more killing then necessary, then single out the leaders and put them on official trial (with Death Sentence, for sure), the rest of the surviving mob may beg for mercy... which they can get as conscripts in our army at the front.

True... alone how this is still a secret makes me sure, that we will have some more dissapointments coming (i mean come on.. three world styles??? still no word about modding new civs?). For gameplay regards the IGN review is rather honest... it tells that the game was much more "casualized"...
