So, who are the new "runaways" in G&K?

I think maybe because Ethiopia always manages to get the first religion in all of my games. If you get the first religion, it spreads a lot easier, providing wealth + science.

So, who are the new "runaways" in G&K?

Spain is hit and miss. If they get a wonder, they became runaway quite quickly. France is always big in my games, Napoleon loves expanding quickly.

So, who are the new "runaways" in G&K?

I was Carthage, and shared the continent with my neighbors Ethiopia and Austria, as well as India, Egypt and Spain. It was a very weird game. Austria kind of piddled about for the first few centuries, but Spain, Egypt and India hardly expanded at all. I think Egypt got only 2 cities in...

So, who are the new "runaways" in G&K?

Siam, France, Songhai, Persia, Russia and the Iroquois are always runaways still. As for new civs, Austria and the Huns have a habit of getting huge. Byzantium and Carthage never get past 3 or 4 cities before being obliterated.

Which G&K Civ is your favorite?

Now that the game has been out a few weeks, which new Civ do you enjoy playing the most? I like Austria. If you have bountiful resources and lots of cash, marrying city states turns you into a total monster. Carthage is also a favorite of mine.

Which new civ has the best leader screen?

    I like Theodora's the best.

    Most Anticipated New Civilization II

Looking forward to Austria and the Huns, since they've never been included in a CIV game before.

    Continent of remaining Civ?

I think it will be either the Sumerians or the Zulus. Unless they throw in something way out of the left field, like Brazil or Vietnam. Europe already has Austria, the Byzantines, the Celts and the Netherlands, so I doubt they'll be getting any more.

    Guess the New Civs

Austria is the only other European civ besides Portugal that I would bother including. It would be nice to see Ethiopia and the Sumerians again as well. Maybe the Mughal Empire, although I wonder if that would just fit in with India.

Quebec City request (while you're changing things)

They should add Toronto or Vancouver as a city state. Since they added Sydney.

    Guess the New Civs

The other 4, I think 1. Austria (Austria-Hungary) - One more European civ, and it's the only other major European empire that hasn't been represented 2. Sumeria - Oldest civ, would be weird not to include them 3. Ethiopia - Another really old, influential civilization 4. Moors -...

What empire never seems to get off the ground in your games?

I notice in my games, there are several Civs that never seem to become powerful. The first one is China, who will only grow big if it has its own continent. Other than that, Wu always plants a few cities and seems to sit there doing nothing, although she has gotten big in one or two of my...

    Worst neighbor?

The worst is Hiawatha. He's always the biggest empire in my games. I hate him. The best neighbor to have is China. Never expands, and Wu is always content with her three cities.

How to get a city to 30+?

The bigger cities through food mod gave me a size 103 city once. It ads +2 food for every farm and +2 food on water tiles with a lighthouse.

    Mods not working?

It says "Error (Mouseover for Details)" in the installation bar. That's it. Nothing else. Nothing pops up when I mouseover or click on it.

    Mods not working?

It doesn't let me accept anything. It just gives me an error and refuses to download. I can't download any new mods at all.

    Mods not working?

Whenever I download a new mod, it gives me a warning where the install bar is and says "Mouseover for more details". Problem is, when I mouse over, there aren't any details! Anyone else have this problem? It happens with every single mod.

Do civilizations know how to expand anymore?

Funny how you mention Russia, since it's 470 AD right now in my game, and they have one city.

Do civilizations know how to expand anymore?

I don't know what the last patch did to the A.I, but now most civs don't even have an empire by the Renaissance period. It's 1400 in my game, and almost every civ has placed maybe 3-4 cities, MAX, on a LARGE map. What the hell? There's huge swaths of land open, and none of them both to expand at...
